Daniel sits peering out into the night, occasionally standing to stretch his wings and legs before resuming his post. With the twin orange moons casting there glow on the landscape and his night vision, he can see almost as well as in the daylight. The only excitement of his watch is when a loud squeal sounds off in the distance. His skill set identifies it as the likely last screams of a dying meal for something larger. Such is the way of nature--the large and powerful feed on the weak and desolate. Such seems to be man's lot as well on this rock Daniel has found himself stranded on. It remains to be seen whether man will die squealing like the animal in the night, or will it turn and fight like a cornered badger.

After what Daniel judges to be about three hours of watch, he wakes Jordan who in turn wakes Gerard later for his watch. Gerard finds the twin moons marching steadily towards the far horizon as he sits and watches and waits. The few hours of restful sleep left him a little sleep drunk, but it doesn't take long before his training kicks in and he's fully awake, alert and watching. His turn at watch passes quietly and peacefully.

A little earlier than he was planning on waking her, Gerard hears Anastasia wake up and stretch. After splashing a little water on her face to freshen up she joins Gerard outside. The wispy tendrils flowing about her cast a white glow that turns the moons turn to orange as she steps out of the cavern. After sitting together for awhile whispering Gerard excuses himself and returns into the cave to catch a few more hours of sleep. {OOC: If you want to RP any conversations, feel free to do so. We can put the following on hold while you do.}

As the moons progress across the sky and begin to approach the horizon, the shadows cast by the pillars lengthen and play tricks on the eyes. More than once Anastasia thinks she sees movement in the shadows, but when she concentrates and looks hard nothing is there.

Just when she's about fed up with herself for jumping at shadows she hears the unmistakable creak of the old joints in the ATV.

A soft snicker and a snort from inside the cave comes in response to the noise. A shake of Zeke's head rouses Gerard from his light slumber.

As Anastasia walks over and sits down, she comments to Gerard how beautiful it is outside. "Go in and get some sleep," she giggles "I'll be ok." and smiles at him feeling that he has always worried about her. She sits down and just admires the beauty that's surrounds her until she hears this an odd noise. She looks around very carefully but not going too far, and not really noticing anything, getting a little irritated at this noise and mind playing tricks on her she gets up again and wanders just a litle further ..still nothing!!!! At hearing Zeke, she realizes now that its not in her head..unless something playing with Zekes mind as well.

Waking to Zeke's warning, Gerard takes a quick inventory of the situation as he looks towards the sounds(Detect ambush/conceal). Gerard looks around to see if any of the others that are sleeping have also awakened. If any others have, he will silently signal that he hears something and point to the ATV. He will also look to where Anastasia is to see if she is ok.

Anastasia still looks around and sees nothing but hears noises on and off. Since she heard Zeke, she wanders back in to meet Gerard and to see if anyone is awakened by an of the noisies she thought she heard.......

Gerard peers into the darkness as Anastasia comes back to join him, but has trouble distinguishing anybody or anything in the long shadows. Gerard didn't hear the sound himself, but was awakened by Zeke's noises. No one else seems to have been awakened by the commotion. After a few long quiet moments Gerard and Anastasia both detect a slight rocking of the ATV...as if some weight inside has shifted suddenly.

The rest of the group is still sleeping quietly. One of Zeke's ears is pointed forward and the other swivels back and forth as he listens for any new noises.

Anastasia looks at Gerard "Ok...Now I know I wasn't imagining anything out there! I had myself half convinced i was either still really tired or I was going crazy."
She looks around and still nothing is awakening the others and looks back at Gerard "I think we should wake up the others. I don't like the sound of this and better to be safe than sorry don't you think?"
Not really waiting for an answer, assuming Gerard will agree even tho he is trying to calm Zeke down ..maybe he didn't hear anything either but not taking any chances she goes over to the first person she can barely make out and taps their shoulder enough to wake them but strong enough to do so..."no need to scare anyone at this point, but theres been some noises outside and whatever it is seems to be close enough to the atv to either be putting something in it or getting in it. I do believe we need to check this out."
She sees the person get up but still can't make out who it is and whispers, "I'm going to wake up someone else to go with you. I think it best someone got with you while I stay inside with Gerard and Zeke. Zekes heard the nosies as well and is on alert mode." She then stumbles over to someone else but......

"Same here as it seems we are all hearing or seeing something." As Gerard is about to tell Anastasia to go ahead with the waking of the others he sees that she has already started and smiles to himself. "Lets stay in groups for sure so everyone has someone to watch their back."

With a yawn Ethram opens his eyes and peers up at Anastasia kneeling over him. She can make out the whites of his teeth as he smiles up at her. "Are you an Angel?" he asks sleepily. His eyes get suddenly wide and the smile disappears from his as he realizes that he said that out loud. "Umm...I'm..uh...well, I just...I mean..." he stammers in embarrassment.

Gerard sees no other movement outside the cave as he continues to search the night. Now that he's done his part, Zeke seems to be losing interest in the situation. Bending his neck he snuffles the ground softly while checking to see if there's anything he may have dropped during last nights feeding.

Jordan and Daniel wake at the words coming from Ethram. Jordan, seeing Gerards intent gaze, assumes that Anastasia wasn't just waking Ethram for an early morning tryst. Giving the two a slight frown he cautiously walks over to stand next to Gerard and look out into the night as well. Not seeing anything he says softly "Something amiss?"

Daniel wakes to Ethram asking, "Are you an angel?" To anastasia.
Daniel stretches out and notices Zeke looking towards the atv. He stands up walks out past the c.o.p. and looks at and around the atv while keeping his ears open for any unknown noise.

If he doesn't see anything, Daniel shifts into his undead and looks once more.

Anastasia smiles, "No but thats ok. It seems theres been some strange noises outside and Daniel since your awake now, they may have scattered by us coming in to get everyone but i thought my mind was playing tricks on me but apparently it was a disturbance to Zeke enough to get him a little upset and awaken Gerard, so Somethings out there tring to get our attention definitely.
