Anastasia, Daniel, Jordan and The Redeemer watch silently as Brother Tobius dismisses Darl and Gerard to show the priest, Michael, where Darl stashed his and Gerard's gear. {OOC: Yes, you sit nice and quiet throughout this whole exchange because the GM (also known as god) has intervened to keep the in-fighting to a minimum.}

Brother Tobius dismisses the other priest as well so that he can return to his duties. "Now then," Brother Tobius begins as he turns back to the remaining group "Unless you have anything further to add, I will also release you to do as you wish. I'm sure you'll understand when I ask that you find other accommodations for the night?" This is more like a statement than a question.

Jordan rests a hand on Anastasia's shoulder in comfort. His worry about her uncharacteristic emotional outburst is plain on his face. He waits until the door closes behind the priest before he speaks. "I'm sure we can find something," he finally says. "We may not have known Father Malaki for long, but he seemed a very kind man and we mourn his death. I know that Apoks are understandably mistrusted because of our past, and he was kind enough to overlook that and see that we are changed when we take up the mask. I only wish the rest of humanity saw us as he did."

"Yes, well, be that as it may, finish your business in town quickly and then please be on your way." Brother Tobius voice is cool to the point of being frosty when speaking to Jordan.

Anastasia looks up at Jordan and gives him a smile.."I'll be ok..for some reason this has hit me unusually hard but I'm feeling much better now. Theres still some things we can look into but I'm afraid we won't be able to do much here. It seems strange we are getting basically kicked out of here just because were strangers in town and blamed for Father Malakis death but then Brother Tobius turns it around that were really not the blame..I do think thats odd but I think we should try to make head or tails of whats going on and find another place to sleep tonight. What do you think?"

As Anastasia waits for a reply from Jordan, she looks over to Brother Tobius, "Well yes we can get other sleeping arrangements for the night and we would like to still investigate what we can to find out the mysteriousness of the murder scene..and my apologies for my breaking down so easily..we were getting pretty close to Father Malaki and trying to help him as he was with us..It just seems strange to hear what has happened and no one has found out anything much yet, but if you would let us try that would be really good so we can find out whats behind all this horrible mess. It would be really helpful to all of us at this point to work together and set what we have out on the table and where each of us can go to investigate. That way we ALL can do our thing in sorting this matter out..and when I say ALL I'm hoping Daniel and Darl will cooperate with this and leave their personal fighting behind and help separately if they have too. Theres no need for the fighting since were on a mission of somewhat to find answers and all the cooperation that we have is very important, don't you agree Brother Tobius?"

Anastasia looks to him with a comforting smile that might just break him of whatever problem hes having with the group and hopefully lets them and helps them get on with this whole ordeal It needs to be solved fast seeing as were being chased out of town..which brings to mind why? Yes were strangers but really something just isn't right? Is he giving us the right information or is he hiding something? could he be behind this whole thing and we don't know it?

Anastasia looks deep into Brother Tobius' eyes and body language etc to see if she can pull anything from him.

Daniel stands back with a part of the chain in one hand and the rest in the bag and slings it over his shoulder .
" You know what there Tobius ? Blue Boy there didn't say how much force or how many times the throats were cut open . But i can tell you when i get out there . Anastasia you comin or stand there ? "

Daniel double checks his pack and begins to open the door and starts heading out to the two dead bodies . with thoughts running through his mind with what information he already has and what could be in possibilities that waits ahead of him in these two bodies .

"It'll be alright. I'm used to this sort of treatment from the church; perhaps someday it will be different." Jordan comforts Anastasia. "I agree, though, that we should be able to help look into this. Maybe we can find out something from the crime scene."

Anastasia can see anger, concern and immense tiredness behind Tobius' blood shot eyes. His shoulders sag slightly as if under a great strain. Anastasia gets the impression that Tobius is earnest in his statements. He may be a gruff man and not tolerant of outsiders, especially Apoks and non-humans, but she doesn't feel that he is a bad man.

Tobius stares back at Anastasia momentarily as if deciding whether she has anything else to add. Deciding that she doesn't he pushes himself tiredly to his feet and dismisses the four to their own devices, giving them leave to take any of their belongings with them. "If you need anything, feel free to ask one of the priests. I'll send word around that they are to stay out of your way and cooperate with you when it doesn't interfere with their duties."

Daniel makes his way past the open door to Father Malaki's office. The crowd that was in the doorway earlier has been replaced by a single guard. The mob outside has also thinned. Blankets have been laid across both of the deceased guards and only a couple of guards and a priest remain.

Jordan stays with Anastasia in the hallway as The Redeemer returns to their room to retrieve their gear. "Your call, what do you think we can do to help figure out what happened?"

Anastasia smiles at Jordan. It isn't easy dealing with people like this but they have their own reasons and thats just the way people are now especially when theres strangers in town the same time a horrible murdering or slaughtering more like it, has happened, she tells herself.

"Yes, I think we should go off and look into matters and see if theres any answers we can gather up. I think we can search this area a little more and stay out of the way. And thank you Brother Tobius for working with us. And I'm sure everyone will co operate with us in this matter as well."

"Yes I'm ready to go with and start in Daniel...where do you want to start?"

As Daniel heads out the door , he says loud enough for everyone to hear , " First off we need to get these bodies into a room, so I can examine them without steping over all these people ! "

Daniel walks up to the bodies , lifts the sheet up off the first body just enough to see the neck wound and thinks bout how to go bout this in order then lays the sheet back down over the head and neck and does the same to the second body . After he does the quick exame of the two he starts to look around to see if darl is still in hearing range at least .

After looking he tells one of the guards , " In case you probable didn't hear me man , I need these two bodies in a room , hopefully with good lighting .. if possible . After that if there is anything else I will send the young lady out for anything else . "

Anastasia is quick to help Daniel and proceeds in having the people move back so the bodies can be carefully moved into a room.

"Yes, let's have everyone move back so we can clear the way or if you would rather move to the other side of the room so you don't have to be so close to this, lets get you moved right away. We are here to help and understand your feelings completely and will accommadate however we can. If and when you want to talk or have any information you can give us, let us know after were done with the examinations. We want to help as much as we can and any information you may have to help will truly be greatly appreciated and helpful. So now, let's go ahead and start moving everyone out of the way." Anastasia smiles and holds out a helping hand to anyone close by to help them. Some try to do it on their own but are still in shock or hurt. She slowly makes her way thru in helping people and looks at the guards and Daniel, as hes getting very anxious to get to the bottom of this exam. She then looks over to Jordan to see what he wants to do.

The couple of people guarding the bodies move back to give Daniel, Anastasia and the two Apoks room to work. Pulling back the blankets on each body reveals that each life was ended by a deep cut across the throat. The cuts are clean and efficient. Blood has pooled around the bodies of each, but the pool to the left of the door, as seen from outside the building, is much larger. It's as if part of the blood on the other body was taken; this seems to confirm Darl's earlier statement that blood from one of the bodies was drained into a vial. Their must have been more than one vial or it was a very large vial judging by the amount of missing blood.

The priest standing nearby offers to let them take the bodies to the makeshift infirmary where the wounded are still healing from the previous day's attack. He sends the two guards ahead to construct a cordoned off area to separate the dead men and hide their visibility from the living occupants.

The Redeemer moves to the head of one body, covering it as best he can with the blanket again, and gives Daniel a hand in moving the man. Jordan mimics the maneuver on the other body and helps Anastasia with the other as the priest looks on.

Entering the large room where Anastasia was the night before, she notices the same boy she was trying to help still laying in the same position as he was earlier. His eyes appear to be closed now; hopefully that's a sign that he was finally able to sleep.

An area over in the corner to the left has been walled off with blankets and the guard standing there indicates that they should lay the bodies inside the area on the floor.

After the bodies were moved into the sectioned off area of the infirmary .

"Man I wish we can get some better lighting in here ... Redeemr , Jordan either of you have a flashlight or have a spell of daylight , I need more light to examine these two poor guys .. If either you have anything like what I need , then go ask the guards and preists .. maybe Tobius has something .. " , Daniel says with a low voice so no one can hear but the two intended people.

Daniel sets his bag down and pulls out his whipchain , placing the chain under the necks of both bodies to tilt the heads back so the wound tracks are open. Remembering the pools outside and remembering from high school, roughly 9 pints of blood to the human body. someone took roughly 1/5th of the blood out of one body.

Daniel mumbles to himself," Whoever did this, musta needed alot of blood but for what ? "

Daniel starts to look over the bodies as a whole to see if there was anything out of place, then ask one of the older soldiers to look and conferm what he is thinking .

Daniel asks the soldier to quietly look around town for anyone that sticks out , besides Daniels group that just came into town the night before.

Anastasia thinks to herself when looking at the little boy, "I'm so glad he sleeping as it seems he is. When this is all over I think I will pay him a visit just so he knows hes not forgotten. Such a sweet thing..what a shame he had to see what happened and worse yet to his own parents." (sighs)

After finishing helping get people out of the way and carrying in the covered bodies, she looks around the room to see if there is some kinda light to help Daniel. She now notices his expression on his face of puzzlement while looking at the bodies.

"Daniel your puzzled about something..I can tell..what is it? It doesn't seem like anyone's hurrying with that light would you like me to go about the town and look around so you can get the better light on the investigation?"
Anastasia already has a few places she has in mind that may have something maybe that tavern we went to when we first got here.

Now she waits, as she still looks around the room and waits for an answer.
