Daniel wakes early the next morning feeling groggy after only getting a couple hours sleep. Bright light assaults his human eyes as they adjust to the sunshine coming through a window high up on the wall. The noise of the horses waiting to be fed below him reminds him of where he's at as lingering dream memories of a pretty young girl with white ribbons flowing about her as she eats....fish...quickly fade from his mind. He hears no evidence of any human activity below him.

Daniel tempts to stand up and streches out his limbs . Feeling a bit hungry , he grabs up his bag and checks his gear . He looks around and makes sure that his atempt to clean up all the fish blood guts off him was good .

Give himself a good once over inspection, Daniel is satisfied that he's cleaned up; although, the smell of blood still assails his nostrils. Once again properly dressed, it appears he is ready for the day with all of his gear and weapons safely stored away. Now, to decide where to go now.....

Daniel walks over to the ladder, and climbs down with his gear in hand. He looks around and stretches out, allowing his eyes to re-adjust to the light that now hits him full on, and decides to walk over to the father's office to see if there is any new information.

As Daniel exits the barn, three horses heads longingly watch him push the canvas door covering aside and depart. The day has dawned bright and warm as he blearily walks up the street towards the cathedral building. A group of about 10 soldiers rounds a corner in front of him and halts. A couple of younger, nervous type men (practically boys, actually) allow their hands to wander to the weapons at their sides. Their apparent leader, dressed as one of the church's women priests, calls out in a demanding alto voice "Drop your pack on the ground and come with us!"

Upon hearing the leader of this band of soldiers , who looks more like the church's priestess. Daniel looks at the lady eye to say , " Drop my bag , I rather keep it with me . Whats this about ? You have armed solders with you , many of these solder's look to be nuthing more then children . "

Daniel flings his Bag over his shoulder, the sound of chains are heard as it hits the back of Daniel's shoulder, and holds it by the strings by which keeps it closed

The two "boys" that looked a little nervous before flush red at Daniel's insult; partially in embarrassment and partially in indignation at the implication that they are too young.

"What this is 'about'" the priestess responds, "is me being tasked with finding you and taking you to Brother Tobius....unarmed. I'm not authorized to say any more than that. Now, like I said, please leave your bag on the ground. One of these fine soldiers will carry it for you and it will never leave your sight. With what's happened, you'll have to trust me that you'll understand not wanting strangers in the chapel armed until their...loyalties...can be ascertained."

Daniel looks at the church priestess, "Well there Priestess, I will follow you all but I do prefer my bag stays with and on me. If you have seen the things i have seen in my lifetime thus far, you would probable agree with me."

Daniel looks are the soldiers who got the look embarrassed, "Look kids, to me you look too young to be growing up just yet. Just my opinion. Besides I seriously don't think you can handle the weight of my bag. So I will carry it."

"Brother Tobius asking all of us to a meeting unarmed? .... Sounds like a bad idea. You question loyalties and yet you strip us of our weapons and bags. I will keep my things with me. Sence I only have just this bag."

Daniel will stand there and waits for the church preistess and the soldiers to lead him to Brother Tobius.

"Sir," the priestess responds in a kindly voice "I really don't want to seem like I'm being unreasonable here, but I'm just doing what I'm told. Something's happened at the church and even I don't know the full details. Brother Tobius interrupted our morning rituals and sent me to find you. In light of whatever it is that's happened, he feels it's prudent that you and your friends be brought to him unarmed. If you'd rather, you can just hand over any weapons rather than the entire pack." The woman looks on hopefully. She obviously would rather not have attempt to use any sort of force.

Up the street, Daniel can see Darl exit the main doors of the chapel. After glancing Daniel's direction Darl heads the other way and rounds the corner of the church building and out of site. Since the Priestess and the soldiers with her are facing Daniel they do not see Darl.

Daniel listens intently to what the priestess has to say and smiles .

"At least I'm not the only one here to be talking to. Tell you what there Priestess, I will have one of your stronger boys here carry my bag, and you tell me what you know as we walk to see Brother Tobius. Since you was disturbed in your morning routine it seems like."

Daniel smiles again and holds out his hand in bag knowing that these boys would end up gettin hurt other wise.
