Johnny is a local from Fort Hammer and loves to hang out with peers around his age. He doesn't much care for Teddy and has romantic feelings towards Kendal Jacobs. Once Kendal had taken on acting and become a celebrity, he'd taken on taxiing people around Fort Hammer and Smith Falls via horseback, renting Bravo, a Clydesdale, from Megana's family's stables. The job helps him make ends meet and allows him to create his own schedule so that he can still spend time with his friends.

One incident, where an outsider had robbed him, had left him broke and unable to continue working. But through the generosity of the Damodreds and community support, Johnny was able to get his business moving again. As a result, he took on boxing, kickboxing and body building, from coach Driver, to discourage others from taking advantage of him... and maybe defend against Teddy's bullying.

Kendal is a tall, slender teenager from Fort Hammer. She has a tragic crush on Teddy and is good friends with most of her peers. She finds Johnny annoying, even though he has feelings for her. Following the events of the Fort Hammer festival, she's taken up acting lessons and has landed herself a role in the Smith Falls television show, "Eagle Rock Spuds." Since her debut, she's gained popularity and a loyal fan-base, requiring body guards. She still checks in on Teddy from time to time, but once Teddy disappeared, she's become more recluse outside of her acting career.

Teddy is a troubled kid, always knowing something is wrong in his life, redirecting his frustrations into boxing and mixed martial arts. His father, Marty, who owns Marty's Machines, has kept him out of serious trouble, but is usually busy with work to keep a close eye on Ted. Ted has been branded a bully because of his harsh demeanor and callous view of life. His mother died of cancer, or so many believe, and he's been bitter since. His best friend, Francis, usually keeps him happy with a daily alcoholic drink. He does his best to be a good person when his anger isn't guiding his actions. So far, Teddy has kept himself out of jail, but the townsfolk think that it's only a matter of time before his "fun" turns into a serious crime.
During the events of Festival Day, Teddy was grievously injured defending Violet, causing him to undergo extensive surgery nearly draining his father of his finances. Since then, he's dedicated his energy to finding Vi and reconnecting.

Little is known about the hermit, Dusty Sky, other than he is a skilled outdoorsman, trapper, hunter and lives off the land. His best friend is his gray horse, Giggles, whom he takes better care of than himself. He seems to take a keen interest in Violet "Warwick" Trent, in which, he makes regular visits to her father, Ethan, to check to see how she's doing. Some believe he's a serial pedophile, who's targeted Vi as his next victim, yet, no one has any proof.

Ingrid is the local town glass shop owner and skilled in the craft of glass blowing, lamp making and drinking. Once married to the town doctor, Shane Lewis, they've recently divorced. Ingrid's drinking problem had lead her to infidelity with Greg Fowler, the owner of the lumber yard, causing her recent availability. The drinking hit an all time high, in which, she was admitted to the hospital with alcohol poisoning, to which, from the advice of her ex-husband, she quit. The temptation is always about, especially when the local eligible bachelors keep trying to take her out for drinks. She now keeps to herself and has gotten her own house, hoping to find something to steer her far from her former addiction.

Megan, the town's local young librarian, has a rough history. She entered Fort Hammer alone, about a decade ago, as a scared young teenager. Since then, she's literally made the town library her home and life. Several years ago, she had a deeply romantic relationship with Teddy, not knowing his actual age. Based on her youthful appearance, the town misjudged her age as well, thinking she was significantly younger than she actually is. Between the town accusing her of 'robbing the cradle' and Teddy's anger issues, she broke up with him. She knows the sudden break up broke his heart, but this is is the safest town she's ever come across and enjoys the community spirit.

Vi is an enigmatic young woman, who's boxing skills, up until her disappearance, were only matched by her rival and short term love interest; Teddy. During the Fort Hammer Summer Festival, she and Ted got into an argument, which sparked unknown abilities within her, causing the drunken patrons to mob the couple. Teddy was gravely wounded and Vi arrested. Shortly after, another inmate, Dusty, and Vi, mysteriously disappeared.

Since her escape from Fort Hammer, Vi, Dusty and Megana have traveled most of the wilds of the American frontier, finally settling on a small abandoned military settlement near the confluence of the Yellowstone and Missouri rivers. Dusty has helped her hone her newly discovered abilities and come to terms with her heritage.

Megana is a prominent and formidable horse racer and steeple chaser. She helps her mother and grandmother run the Damodred Fort Hammer Stables and deeply cares for the animals, especially Midnight. After the tragic events of the Fort Hammer Summer Festival, Megana discovered that Thunder, a horse she'd saved from the cruelty of cybernetic enhancement for profit, had finally gotten the medical treatment needed to eliminate it's pain. Days later, she disappeared with Thunder. She, as well as Vi, has been the focus of an area-wide man hunt, hoping to find her alive.

Frank is the local brew master for his parents at the Bottoms Up pub. Recently, he's taken on cooking at the pub and running an upstart catering business that's rapidly picking up momentum. Due to Frank's less than desirable appearance, he's taken on a new persona, wearing a mask and makeup as he works his chef magic.
