hey i like it ed .. its basic , clean and my old pos comp can access it lol

but yeah lets use this .. but proble post your mains here and in the group .. which would serve as a reminder to come here for the players to reply back to .. just my idea

I may be a little biased because I created this monster, but I prefer PbP over PBEM for three main reasons:

1) PBEM messages have a tendency to get lost or sent to a spam bin on occasion. There's no risk of that on PbP because all you have to do is check the board for new messages occasionally.

2) You can use some basic rich text formatting to make your messages easier to read or to highlight certain things.

3) As a GM I can include game relevant images inline with the posts to help clarify what's going on in the game.

Yeah I was looking at it being more versatile for posting relevant data. Even though PBeM is sort of my baby. I'm very very new to PbP method. So I may consult in you, Joe. If this thing takes off. I may need a bit of coaching on some of the wiz-bang here.

joe i can see your points here .. and at least ed is willing to give this a shot ..

but at least in forums everyone can see who doin what all on the same page . and dont have to jump between emails ..

but as ed did say the pbem is his baby .. and i do very much enjoy the pbem style . gives me something to look forward too lol ..

but at least with this new methed . no one worries bout the loss of their email < if that did happen > .

I do see your point, the Yahoo Group does have that advantage. I wonder if I could somehow tie the two together so that the Yahoo Group would get a copy of people's posts in here. I might have to look into that.

that is an idea .. on that you and ed would have to work together . but yeah basicly having duel database of the posts . that would be good .. maybe have it to where no matter who posts where . the groups and this forum .. will have it all .

Going a post copied to the forum is just an email so probably wouldn't be hard. Getting it to post back to here would be difficult, but I would at least include a link directly back to the message in question so that it's quick to get back to the PbP board.
