Ivy and Chrome: Chapter 112

It's hard to remember what happened with all those faeries. Tyran only remembers seeing Maranna face plant into the grassy knoll and To'Mas simply vanish from plain sight. The one called Milo ran the other way and Galen and Cereth collapse unconscious. Everything seems cloudy. It's just too hard to remember. What did the faeries do? Blinking doesn't seem to make the ground stop twirling. All who's left, walking the wet, sloppy trail between the heavy ferns, is Raven, Gor, Tyran, Kira, Lori, Jenna and Ricky, who Tyran keeps catching sidelong glances of her staring at him. She only seems to do it while he isn't looking.
Gor grumbles to himself in a drunken stupor. This makes, yet, another encounter with faeries that turned bad. If only he could remember where Milo and Tanya went. The group is only about half its original size now. It's hard to concentrate and there are far too many places for something to hide in this forest.
Raven sighs as he pulls the makeshift stretcher, which holds Lori, whom, unconscious, saved him from... 'I can't remember," he thinks to himself. He only knows that they must keep moving to stay safe.
At the back, Kira holds the other end of the stretcher. Lori's face has a small scrape, nothing major. Alec would know what to do. "Is there an easy way to get back? To home..."Tyran can remember there was a reason. Just that they should keep moving. Dirk stays below the trees, Bill seems quiet. A few drops of rain begin to lightly drizzle down. Making the overcast day that much less pleasant.
As Kira slowly and tiredly trudges along, helping carry Lori, who seems to be stirring and slow coming conscious, she feels like she is still in danger, even more so. It's hard to remember what happened. The last thing she could clearly remember was Cirrus about to explode. And the faeries...
Gor, taking point, walking in front of everyone, swears he sees movement in the brush. Like an animal or person moving fast, as though moving into position to hide.

The open sea is like home to Cassandra. It can get lonely, but with Kila around, it's been nice. The girl is pretty and has a tendency to sometimes talk of friends she'd like to meet. She's mentioned a spell caster, named Raven. A frightening, yet friendly cyborg named Nero and someone named Shade. She seems like good help but there is something about the girl that seems a bit off. It seems as though she has had a hard life and not a healthy amount of social interaction.
Standing on the dock, Cassandra and Kila stare out at the open sea. The dock is old and rotting, threatening to break with each step, testing the rotten wood. It's been interesting visiting the British Isles, and it seems serene enough. The sight of the giant tree hovering over the land seems a bit foreboding, but overall, the slight drizzle of rain seems to keep things calm and relaxing, if not cold.
Three small dots silhouette against the horizon. Cassandra pulls her binoculars from utility belt and examines the horizon. They look oddly familiar, 'It couldn't be. Not this far out,' she thinks to herself as the thoughts of her former life flood through her mind.
Kila calmly watches Cassandra scanning the ocean. Not long ago, Kila had found herself stranded, looking for her friends, only to find Cassandra. The two have helped each other out of more than one pickle, however, Kassandra seems like she has a familiar air to her. Like she has been through similar strife. Maybe they got their one lucky break. Kila knows that Cassandra's passion is to have her own ship to captain. Kila is just glad that her dark side hasn't revealed herself, yet. It's been a long time. Kila has managed to somehow suppress the arrival of the beast. Yet, only thanks to the necklace with fur on it that had been given to her as a gift from a mysterious admirer.
Right in front of them, is an old sea faring, wooden schooner. It needs some work and has a gaping hold in one side, but above sea level. What happened to its crew? The barnacles and corrosion to the wood evident means that it's sat there for quite a long time. It looks as though it can sail though. The sails are weather torn and need mending. Yet, Cassandra's attention seems to be out at sea.
Cassandra tries to make it out, messing with the binoculars to try and get a better angle. 'This could be bad,' she thinks, 'they look like slave barges.' She can count six of them so far, with the possibility of more appearing on the ocean's horizon. Unconsciously saying, "Dammit..." out loud, enough for Kila to hear. Then, they hear the ruckus in the forest behind them, like people running.
OOC: There you go folks. Not the greatest start, but enough to get started.
