Harvey rushes back and quickly gathers up the rest of his gear and, after thanking Darl, runs to catch back up to Dan and John. Seeing no other reason to stick around, Belle and Jonesy continue on their journey. For some time they trail behind John, Harvey and Dan, but eventually the road to Worldgate forks to the right and and the road to Newhome goes left.

The terrain turns more rugged as they two travel. The road is still easy to walk on, but the pillars along side have been getting larger and the surrounding terrain steeper. A little while before noon, Jonesy indicates that they are approaching the area where the goblins attacked him.

ooc: Wouldn't it be John, Harvey and Dan be trailing behind Bell and Jonesey? Probably would not effect anything however.

ic: Belle will keep a careful eye while traveling to make sure that there are no ambushes. There are after all only two of them and she likely will have to do the lion's share of the fighting. The idea amuses her as she thinks about it. In her previous life, she would have cringed and let others do the fighting for her.

Once they reach the area, she slows downs even further and begins to look for alternate routes to where they were attacked by the goblins. She will also load a bolt into her crossbow just in case. "Probably want to approach by a means other than the trail."

OOC: True, they would have been in front if I had read your posts correctly to begin with. Since I didn't, you ended up behind them. Doesn't impact the game, though, since you were going different directions anyway.

The forest of pillars is silent around them as the two take stock of the area. Jonesy indicates a side trail that leads to a small clearing where they spent the night. The terrain surrounding the area is fairly flat with many pillars. Finding an alternate route is no problem.

Picking her way around, the pillars, she avoids the trail that goes towards the camp. Her hands will motion the direction that they are going, not actually saying anything. She works her best to be quiet as much as possible.

Belle approaches the clearing with all caution. In the clearing the clothes flung around like feathers in the wind. Belle carefully peers between and around the pillars, looking for anyone or anything that might be hiding in the area. She sees nothing more,though.

Belle tells Jonesy, "It looks bad but maybe there is some small stuff which we can find. Also, maybe some of the clothes are intact."

She will not go into the clearing with super care but will still be cautious as she looks around to see if there is anything that can be saved.

Nothing jumps out at the two as they enter the clearing. Everything is at it seems.

"Looks like they left behind most of our clothes, but anything of value has been taken," Jonesy says as he assesses the mess "Including my grandfather's journal. He wrote of his encounter with Erin Tarn, an off-worlder explorer." Jonesy picks through the stuff a couple moments longer before pointing out that the trail of clothes seem to point an arrow back toward the road and the direction of Newhome. "Looks like maybe they went this way." He says just loud enough for Belle to hear.

"Are you sure you are up for following it?" Belle asks cautiously. Assuming he responds in an affirmative, she will continue on towards where the debris leads them.

Jonesy looks down the path of strewn clothes before replying "I'd like to at least follow the trail for awhile, if you're willing, that is."

Getting the confirmation she expected, the two set off through the pillars, Belle is often unsure if they are still following the goblins or not, but between the two of them they manage to find occasional signs to indicate the passing of the goblin party. It takes them longer than if they'd had someone more skilled in tracking with them.

Jonesy is just admitting that it's time to turn around when the two hear a small explosion up ahead of them followed by a second and third smaller explosion. The sounds of a small battle, it would seem. Jonesy looks at Belle with wide eyes and unslings the laser rifle he's been carrying.

"Not a problem," the Apok responds. She will dutifully follow the trail actually surprised at how easy it is to follow without much in the way of skill.

When she hears the first explosion, Belle gets ready for combat. Towards Jonesey, she states, "I am going to check it out." If her mask is off, she will put it on and take a moment to activate her bracer. The woman will then head for the sound of the explosion.
