"Hey Sam!" Megana calls out with a wave and a smile sweet like honey. When she hears Midnight's voice, she at towards the animal Midnight was looking at and tries to hear its thoughts. For a moment, there's nothing, but then she swears she hears a voice, different than Midnight's, say, "I wish I had real legs," as she can sense the horse is suffering immense melancholy.

Meanwhile, she sees Sam's sadness fade as he waves back and shouts, "Let's go, Meg!" Megana realizes that a majority of the crowd is cheering for her and one other local, named Rich.

Finally, the announcer can be heard, "Alright! Horses to your marks!"

Megana begins to focus on the race but that one horse....its voice its sadness.....what did they do to the poor animal.. but for now she has a race to win..then she will expose whats wrong with the horse

Megana begins to focus on the race but that one horse; its voice, its sadness. What did they do to the poor animal? For now she has a race to win. Then she will expose what's wrong with it. It's name is Thunder and it's rider has a metal arm.

"Get set!" the announcer calls, "GO!" as the light moves from red to yellow, then to green.

At Megana's spur, Midnight starts galloping like she's as fast as a car. But upon second glance, she sees that almost all of the other racers are a head a rider ahead of her. The only one behind her is Thunder, who's picking up speed.

She can almost hear the horse in pain as it runs. She hears it's already labored breaths as it threatens to overtake her until at a quarter mile, Midnight and Thunder are side by side, just ahead of everyone else.

"Come on midnight....i know we can do this. Push on win this for the ranch, for our family and beat them and show why your our best racer "Megana encourages midnight as they push hard.

[Chaser1]

"Come on Midnight! I know we can do this. Push on win this for the ranch, for our family and beat them and show why you're our best racer!" She encourages as she feels Midnight pick up speed. Even so, Thunder is slowly inching ahead as they reach the half mile marker. Everyone else is at least a horse length behind.

She can faintly hear the announcer over the galloping hooves and wind in her ears, "And now Thunder is taking over lead. Midnight will have to be faster!" Meg can sense that Midnight even knows something is wrong with Thunder. Thunder's rider is incredibly concentrated on maintaining an increasing pace.

"Midnight i swear to the high divine if you can passed this aigmented horse ill give you the best apples i can buy a whole buschle" Megana has to resort to bribing her horse

"Midnight, I swear to the high divine if you can pass this augmented horse, I'll give you the best apples I can buy a whole bushel," Megana bribes.

With that, Midnight begins pushing even harder. Meg can feel her fatigue beginning to set in as Thunder tries to move into Midnight's lane to cut her off; a legitimate, yet, dirty move. Thunder stumbles, forcing Midnight to run around, slowing both of them down as the other horses begin to pass. All racers have reached three quarters of a mile. Midnight needs one more burst of energy to have any hope of placing in the top two, let alone winning.

OOC: Dice did not favor Midnight OR Thunder this stretch.

"Come on come on, pass this dirty cheating rider!!!"Megana says growling trying to maneuver around thunder

"Come on! come on! Pass this dirty cheating rider!" Megana growls, trying to maneuver around Thunder. Midnight even senses the anger as she shoulder checks Thunder into the track railing, causing a roadblock for half the horses. Midnight gets the needed energy boost and crosses the finish line against Snacker, the current horse in the lead.

"And Midnight and Megana WIN! What a show!" the announcer cheers.

As the horses reach the stables, Megana notices Thunder and her rider head to their grooming area. The rider, who has a mechanical arm, jumps down and nods towards Meg, saying, "Good race. Congratulations."

Meanwhile, Dane and Miss Hoffman arrive at the rest area.

She stares at him and spoke with a slight cold tone "thank you may i see your horse...." as she looks at thunder listening for his voice and signals the event coordinator over to them.
