Seems like the last zombie is being taken care of, so rather than add a mostly useless pitchfork to the overcrowded fight, Shep looks around for any additional danger or anybody that's injured that needs a hand. Spying the officer on the ground, he changes direction to see if the man is still alive. "Hey, we need a medic over here!" he yells as he rushes to the man's side.
The zombie takes a wild, fast swing that Lux just steps back and lashes out with a kick to its leg, buckling it. She then launches an unsuccessful roundhouse kick that the zombie unintentionally slips under. It reacts by almost expertly slashing her across the face, leaving deep gouges across her cheek. (almost like Bruce Lee in "Enter the Dragon") She shuffles backwards as blood quickly streams from her new wound. "This one is a problem!" she complains.
Mazur fires again. The bullet misses and whizzes past Jacks face. "Woah! Ease up with the firearm, Maz!" Jack shouts.
Meanwhile, Shep gets no response at first. Then the sheriff simply walks up behind the zombie, carefully aims and squeezes the trigger. His revolver, being significantly louder, than the gun Mazure is using, nearly deafens everyone. It drops to the ground, headless.
"Thank you," Lux grunts out.
"And who are you?" The sheriff asks.
"Just passing through." she replies.
"Don't leave town." He runs over to Shep and leans down and feels the cops pulse, "We're losing him!" as he begins CPR.
After a few moments, the Lake Crenshaw officer begins to stir, opens his yellow eyes and promptly swings at the sheriff, who winces backwards, causing him to miss and almost hit Shep.

OOC: Is the wounded officers gun within easy reach? Assuming not, so here's my post.
"Shit!" Shep cries out. "Is he infected." He quickly backs away trying to get out of reach and get the only weapon at hand, his trusty pitchfork, between him and the officer.

OOC: Thought somebody else had picked it up, but was lazy and didn't want to go look it up.

Seeing the Deputy tun into a zombie, Reggie's eyes go wide. "Shit, that means there could be a lot more of these shambling around!"
He moves closer to help, looking for a chance to stab the new zombie (he's figuring there's too many friendlies in the way to try for a wide swing)

Lux 17
Police Officer 15
Sheriff Harper 13
Mazur (has a half loaded gun) 10
Shep 8
Jack 6
Everyone running away 6
Reggie 3
Z1 (dead)
Z2 (dead and tied up)
Z3 (also dead)
The officer takes another swing at the sheriff, and horribly misses as Lux kicks him in the side. She then leaps in the air, shouts out like some animal, and stomps down on his face as she lands. His face crunches as it caves in.
The sheriff quickly moves away.
A shot rings out. Followed by Mazur shaking the officers gun, cursing something through the noise.
"Shit!" Shep cries out. "Is he infected?" He quickly backs away. He quickly grabs up his pitchfork and points it towards the officer.
Seeing the Deputy tun into a zombie, Reggie's eyes go wide. "Shit, that means there could be a lot more of these shambling around!" He moves closer to help, but realizes that Lux has killed it.
Lux grumbles and shouts, "I need to find, Yuno!" as she runs off to the north.

Shep looks around for any other danger or fallen humans that might turn into zombies at any minute. Barring anything he cautiously makes his way out the door "Let's get to the farm," he says to the others, "Safety in numbers, right?" He cautiously follows the larger group, being sure to look down any alleys or nooks that he passes for movement.

OOC: I'll give it another day or two and then push forward with this game.

Reggie looks around nervously, he'll follow the Sheriff's and/or Shep's leads, figuring older probably means wiser.

Al, the sheriff's cowboy friend, limps out of the building and joins the group, running towards the farm. Off in the distance, the pops of gunfire echo throughout Camp Wilson. The run is hard and fierce, only slowing down to wait for Shep, Jack and Al, who are the slowest runners.
Eventually, the group arrives at the Harper farm. The sheriff has everyone run in, but the scene is gruesome. Reggie looks around at his family home, there is blood splattered everywhere. Mel Harper stands there, at the kitchen sink, seemingly looking down the sink drain. There is blood across her shoulders.
"Mel?" Sheriff Harper inquires, grave concern washes over his face. "Honey? You okay?"
"Ummm, I don't like this!" Mazur exclaims.
She turns around, her glazed eyes regard everyone like a predator carefully watching its prey. She begins advancing quickly towards everyone. Several people promptly run back out of the house, leaving Reggie, Shep, Sheriff Harper, Al and Jack.
OOC: Actions?
