OOC: Sorry for the delay, been working long hours.

After walking the rest of the way to town listening to the others and remaining silent Gerard takes a look around as he sees the guard stop them abruptly. He sees nothing out of the ordinary. The coming's and going's of people appear to be normal. Gerard has been to Chisel Town before in his travels, but their are so many guards that rotate in from the garrison down the road that it would be unlikely that he would recognize any of this batch. Scanning their faces confirms that these ones are all new to him.

Anastasia looks at the stranger to see if there's anything unusual about him. He appears, however, to be just your standard, run of the mill, garrison guard. "What is this you have for me, and also why for me only, or is it for all of us?"

"Well, I'll give it to whoever wants to pay me for it," the guard says with a gruff voice, "But you, lass, are the one described to me so I would recognize your group."

Daniel looks at the guard, "What do you want?"

The guard turns to Daniel "You deaf? I already said I got a message for her... and I suppose you too, if you're with her." Speaking to both Daniel and Anastasia...as well as Jordan as he joins the crowd...the guard continues "So, do you want the message or not? I'm not your messenger boy, so if you want it, I want somethin' in return."

"What is your fee to deliver this message?" Gerard asks the guard. "I believe that yes we would like to hear your message."

Anastasia still wondering at the moment what this stranger is delivering and why her and why does he want some kind of payment, sounds in shortly after Daniel and Gerard and replies, "Who is it that sent you then also may I ask that described me to give this too and why are you so intent on getting some kind of payment for it? Wouldn't it be fair enough to maybe trade or even a nice meal of what we have be good? I'm sure we have enough that we could whip something up in no time for you, sir, and then we can sit down and talk about who sent you and maybe why. Now mind you we are out and about and don't have fancy furnishings to sit and offer but please, sit and rest up and let us gather up what we can and fix up something of a meal and go from there, and quickly as you feel the need as well." Anastasia looks around to everyone, hoping to maybe slide her way thru this in a nice way and get this message without payment or whatever, just so they can possibly get the needed information if they can by her pleasantness. She looks at the group hoping they too will catch on and offer to help in whatever way they can and being as nice as they also can be.

Looking towards guards, she does decide to see if a bit of charm can be used when needed, "Sir, I am sorry but I don't have much more than my gear. Might we please get the message." There is a flash of just how devastating her charisma might have been in an earlier life.

Daniel takes a step back and takes alook around the surroundings of the city entrance . Taking in the chatter of the people passing by and just the mass of people coming and going . Kind of a nice reminder of where he was once from , before the chaos of the magic and nightlords and all the events that followed.

"Who is it that sent you? Also may I ask who described me to you and why are you so intent on getting some kind of payment for it?" Anastasia asks, "Wouldn't it be fair enough to maybe trade or even a nice meal of what we have be good? "Fee? Payment? Did I say anything about a payment? Just a small token of your appreciation is all I ask." The guards attempt at innocence is ruined by his harsh sounding deep voice. The guard pauses in concentration for a moment. "Hmm... maybe I did mention payment, after all." His Cheshire cat smile shows a number of crooked, black teeth. "Your tall blue friend didn't give me his name, just a message to deliver to you with a promise that you would make it worth my time and I don't have time for you to cook me some fancy dinner. I got work to do and plenty of food to eat at the end of the day."

The guard seems to notice Belle for the first time, as his concentration was taken by Anastasia's beauty before. "He didn't say nothin' about you." He looks at her with hunger in his eyes. "Maybe we could work out some sorta alternative payment?" The Chesire smile returns as he appraises Belle; his innuendo obvious by the way he looks at her. {OOC: Sorry, very poor charm/impress roll.}

Daniel takes a step back and looks around the surroundings of the city entrance. Taking in the chatter of the people passing by and just the mass of people coming and going . He sees nothing unusual about the crowd. Most have their heads down as if trying not to be noticed as they come and go. Most are wearing older, tattered clothing with patches here and there. It's consistent with the shantytown area that they just passed through.

{OOC: Just a reminder that there is no currency on Wormwood, so any "fees" or "payments" are done in trade of some sort. The guard's attempt to get something out of the group would be whatever small thing they may wish to offer in exchange for the information.}

Belle makes kind of a nervous smile, "I am sorry sir, I made a vow." She is careful not to say what that vow is. Still, she has not been with a man since becoming an Apok and certainly is not going to trade sexual favors for a bit of information.

"Ah....too bad." The guard winks and gives her a smile that conveys that he doesn't think she knows what she's missing out on.

Daniel flashes a smile at the group but mainly at Belle in hopes she might follow his lead abit .
He walks up next to the guard and place his arm on the guards shoulder as if to kinda hold him up and says nicely ," You know buddy , You may not know but that vow she speaks of means she is already taken .. Besides what you got wouldn't be enough to even get a giggle outta my girl there " Daniel looks to Belle with a smile . "She would just end up leaving you a sad sorry mess of a what might have been a man .. As for that message from our big blue friend ... Just be kind to the ladies and say what that might be ."

Anastasia just going with the flow, looks at Belle with a look as to follow with this as to throw off this guy and get whatever it is handed over and done with, chimes in and says, "Well, so now as we can all get down to what is needed here, sir, and obvious on the need of what you want and not going to get, we would like to get our message from our friend and be on our way as I'm sure you need to be as you have already stated..so may I have this message and thank you." Anastasia still smiles and is friendly but is quite anxious to just get the message and see where their friend is and what he has to say and get rid of this gross person, being nice as she is, but thinking what a jerk he is at the same time.
