"No treats or food before the race, Midnight! Afterwards yes you can," as she pats Midnight's nose. Damn right! Megana seems like shes having an argument with a horse, but it's nothing more than playful.

Midnight seems to resign as she swears she hears, "Oh... okay. Two apples!"

Belle gathers up Megana's plate and begins washing dishes, "Oh by the way, your mother is helping bartend down at the Bottoms Up. Apparently, they're getting swamped. Maybe, if you want extra money, I'm sure that one of the businesses would pay well for your help. Just a thought," as she dries her hands, reaches into her apron and hands Meg ten credits, "For now, that should get you some food and some fun. I heard you met a boy!" Belle sheepishly smiles at Meg.

"Just be careful with those boys. Most of them only want one thing," She adds as Megana heads outside using the side door, facing the stables. Midnight snorts from outside of the backyard fence as Meg heads across the street towards main street.

Just as soon as Meg reaches the bustling and surging crowd, a young girl, who Meg's never seen before, walks up to her, "Hi! I'm Emily, Sam's friend." She has dark wavy hair and deep blue eyes and an over abundance of freckles, "He sent me to find my sister, but I couldn't find her and now I can't find him. I know that you two were a thing, so I thought you might know," She rambles. "Are you going to find him?"

Megana looks blank at this kid like thinking where in the ancients did this kid come from and how she know sam. "Um your missing your sister she could be at the bar i am heading to we can look there for a minute"

Emily follows closely behind, holding the back of Megana's shirt, "Hey, I'm a lot of fun! Do you want to hang out? I have some money, we could go get food or ride some rides. What about the obstacle course? I bet I would do really good on there." She moves towards Meg's side as the street becomes less crowded, "Oh! We could go ride some horses! No one's really paying the credit for free rides."

Emily stating this makes Meg realize that her mom and grandma aren't making as much as they thought they would. Usually the festival brings in enough revenue to take care of the ranch for another year. Grandma Belle is always complaining about how Marty Swenson has taken business away from the stables. Now this young girl, Emily, even notices.

They finally reach the line, heading into the front door of the saloon, which is ten people long just to get inside. No one uses the backdoor though, and Megana knows that she's like family, knowing Frank. But Emily looks younger, she may not be welcome.

Felix, Frank's father, is in the back, hooking up another keg to replace an empty one. He calls out to the front, "At this rate, we're going to run out of the pale ale! I may have to run to the house and get the rest from storage." He turns to see Megana, "Oh! You're a lifesaver!" He hands Megana ten credits, "That's for rent of a horse and carriage and your time. Would you grab the rest of the kegs from our storage shed and bring them to the back door and let me know? I already sent your mom to grab the rest of the whiskeys." He laughs, excited that his business is doing well. He uses his grandma's stable business as often as he can, knowing that it helps support each other.

Emily peeks in the back door, "So, can I come in?"

"Ill go get it right um can i offer some back up help"she points emily out to Felix... "shes looking for her sister and i have the race in an hour or so"

"Yes, perfect!" Felix smiles, "The faster the better! Don't be too long," he shouts from the door as he walks back into the noisy saloon, leaving Emily and Megana to secure the horse with trailer or covered wagon.

"So, what are we doing?" Emily asks with mild concern. "Will I make any money?"

"Come along and keep up"..Megana walks away heading to go pick up the rental cart and horse and once she arrive to the stables Felix uses. Megana tips her hat as a greeting, "Howdy need to rent a carriage and horse for item transportation"she pays the fine given and counts the rest of the credits.
