Dropping the rope, Mazur runs over to grab the pistol; lifting it to point at the impaled zombie, careful to ensure one of his friends isn't standing behind it in the line of fire, he positions himself closer to get a clearer shot, and fires at the creature's head.
Backing up to make sure he's out of range of any flailing swings, Reggie gives his sword a brief glare. Looking back at the monster, he decides on a change of tactics. yelling 'Timber!" he charges it, slamming into the creature bodily in an attempt to knock it over onto it's side. Like he'd seen in amusing old sports paradies, he slams into it, uselessly bouncing off and almost tumbling over.
Mazur fires the service weapon. The deafening pop sends ringing through everyone's ears. Reggie tackle jarred it enough that the bullet narrowly misses Reggie and strikes the corpse's head. Shep watches as half of its face blows open. It begins to collapse while its legs continue driving forward.
Jack finds a large stone and picks it up.
OOC: Shep didn't notice Reggie's intent...
Shep makes a strategic retreat towards the building, allowing the zombie to make a controlled push against him until the pitch fork rests comfortably against the wall, holding the zombie at bay. "Upward thrust between the spine and base of the skull!!! Just line it up and push hard!" he yells at Reggie. Yet, he feels the undead collapsing against the pitchfork.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Lux successfully sheds off a few hits from the zombie on top of her.

Looking around, Reggie sees that Shep seems to have his zombie more or less at bay, but Lux is in trouble. he hesitates for a second before attempting to follow Shep's idea, using the zombie's absolute focus on Shep to lay the sword into place before shoving it up into the head.
He just hopes Lux can hold out for a few more seconds...

Shep does his best to avoid being splattered with brains, but he's more concerned about not dying. He continues to hold the zombie at the end of the pitchfork until he sees how the creature reacts to having its brain scrambled on the ground.

Jack tosses a rock at the faceless zombie at the same time Mazur fires another shot. A spark is seen midair as the bullet and rock deflect off of each other, missing horribly. "Damn..." he says less calmly than usual.
Mazur shouts, "You have GOT to be kidding me." He looks at Jack, "Really?"
The undead on Lux tries smashing her twice, only to strike the ground, spraying dust and gravel everywhere. Lux is frantically trying to regain her senses while defending herself.
The last undead standing continues to swipe at Shep in vain, only creating a high pitched whiff. It's almost as if it can still see without its eyes.
Shep is covered with brains and what looks like skin with an eyebrow attached to it. He continues to hold the zombie with the pitchfork until he sees how the creature reacts to having its brain scrambled on the ground.

Shep does his best to free the pitchfork from the now lifeless corpse and surveys the scene. Seeing Lux struggling, he chases after Reggie to go help out. Ooc: not sure who has initiative at this point. Assuming Reggies next action and the loss of an action to free the pitchfork.

Pulling the sword from zombie with a muttered, "Finally, something goes right", Reggie moves over to attack the one on Lux.
Shep easily slides the pitchfork from the zombie and the only fighting left is between Lux and the one on her. Shep chases after Reggie to go help out.
Reggie and Jack immediately rush to help Lux, but she does some fancy flip out from under the one attacking her. She launches a kick out and gracefully lands. She wipes blood from her face as her steely blue gaze would pierce down the zombie, if it was still human. The zombie, still stumbling backward, narrowly avoids Jack's attempt at clubbing it from behind. Raggie's sword sinks into the top of the back of it's head, but only about an inch. Lux lashes out with a fancy, spinning crescent kick that whiffs the air, masking the sidekick that narrowly misses, stopping in front of its face.
Mazur quickly waddles over and positions himself to the side of the zombie, so that he doesn't accidentally hit his friends. Reggie pulls his sword free. Jack is trying to reposition for a better attack angle. At that moment, the doors to the building fly open. The sheriff leads several people, including Reggie's mom out. "Get to my farm! Now!" He shouts to his wife, who's leading about a dozen people quickly towards the edge of town. The sheriff draws his revolver, eying the last zombie on this street.

Seems like the last zombie is being taken care of, so rather than add a mostly useless pitchfork to the overcrowded fight, Shep looks around for any additional danger or anybody that's injured that needs a hand. Spying the officer on the ground, he changes direction to see if the man is still alive. "Hey, we need a medic over here!" he yells as he rushes to the man's side.
