Lysanthra gratefully accepts the tea and takes a sip. It's still hot but nothing Liz can't handle. Ingrid's concern is touching and she decides to share her dream with her. She tells Ingrid every little detail. When she's done she takes a deep breath and another drink. Liz doesn't know if Ingrid will think she's crazy or not but she feels better after sharing all that. She looks at her friend to gauge her reaction to everything. Hopefully Ingrid doesn't think she's completely bonkers.
Ingrid's responds with, "Wow, that was quite a bit of detail for a dream. Welcome to Fort Hammer, where the weird seems normal. You'll find that the strange seems to pop up around every corner. So, you know Megana?"

Lysanthra is relieved that Ingrid doesn't look at her differently. However, now that she thinks about it, how did she know certain things from the dream? Apparently Megana is real and Ingrid knows her. Should Liz be honest about not knowing her or lie to her friend? It sounds insane to Lysanthra so how did she know about someone she's never met before? She decides to be honest. This makes her have an uneasy feeling about the whole dream. If Megana is real, what else is? Liz tells Ingrid she's never met Megana and waits for a reaction.

Lysanthra is relieved that Ingrid doesn't look at her differently. However, now that she thinks about it, how did she know certain things from the dream? Apparently Megana is real and Ingrid knows her. Should Liz be honest about not knowing her or lie to her friend? It sounds insane to Lysanthra so how did she know about someone she's never met before? She decides to be honest. This makes her have an uneasy feeling about the whole dream. If Megana is real, what else is? Liz tells Ingrid she's never met Megana and waits for a reaction.
"You haven't? I guess others have mentioned odd dreams," Ingrid seems confused, "Would you like to meet her? I saw her at the festival earlier."

Lysanthra has a bad feeling about her dream now. She tells Ingrid she would like to meet Megana. She finishes her tea and still feels anxious. It's going to be hard to relax after that dream but she doesn't know what to do about it right now. Liz tells Ingrid she's ready to go.

Ingrid's fond smile is minimally calming, but calming none-the-less. She allows Lysanthra to freshen up before they go as she changes her shoes to something more comfortable. Eventually the two head back out; straight for the festival.
Upon reaching the thronging mass of festival goers, the crowd is in much more of a festive, partying, fun-loving mood. The drunken games have begun and the crowds are preparing for another run of the latter stages of the giant obstacle course. People are seen drinking, eating, playing games, buying wares and just checking out the creativity of the area locals within crafts, artwork and dedicated tradework.
Some of the local deputies are detaining, and probably arresting, a local drunkard who's gotten a little disorderly, trying to pick fights with some of the other festival attendees.
Eventually, as Ingrid continues to scan through the crowd, Liz notices someone, roughly her age, who looks just like Megana, sitting outside of the local saloon, called Bottoms Up. The girl is enjoying food with a crowd of similarly aged friends. She seems particularly close with Sam Kessler, who Liz is acquainted with. Sam is especially popular for his incredibly talented artwork.
Emily is there as well, being her usual annoying self. She hasn't noticed Lysanthra and seems focused on flirting with older boys, which their foster parents have always warned her against. She shows an obvious infatuation with Steve Campbell and a rather homely looking guy sitting with a pleasant looking blonde girl. Emily doing what she does best... being annoying.

Megana and her friends look confusedly at Ingrid and Lysanthra. She seems polite enough as she says, "Can I help you, miss?" and leans back in her chair.

OOC: Recap from the Bottoms Up restaurant in Dane's thread.
Vi grimly stares at her like she's her next opponent, "Then find a trainer who is patient enough to deal with you because I'm not that person." She quickly finishes her food, then carefully stands up and walks back outside; destination - the gym. On the way, she thinks to herself, oO(At least the damn gym should be somewhat empty. I need to get away from this fuckery)Oo
OOC: Vi posts will be back in her own thread.
As Vi leaves, Emily watches in disbelief, like she'd never been told no. Steve grins at Em, "Lighten up, I can teach you a little bit."
"But I wanna learn from the best!"
"Hey, I've never boxed her, so you don't know!" Steve laughs.
"Dude! You lost to Angelo just last month! And he doesn't know how to fight!" Sam laughs.
"He hit me in the back of the head with a skateboard like a pansy ass B!744! Then ran!" Steve retorts.
Lysanthra looks from Marshall to Emily recognizing the familiar dynamic. Marshall always thinks he's better than them maybe because they are girls. She's not sure why but Liz doesn't look for respect from him. She doesn't care what he thinks because she knows her own worth. Emily on the other hand tries hard to be liked and easily gets her feelings hurt. Lysanthra finds Emily annoying as well but doesn't purposely try to put her down. She glares at Marshall and tries to get Emily's attention. When Emily looks at her Liz says "Just ignore him. He's not worth it anyway." Then looks at Marshall again with a smirk.
Marshal frowns and runs out of the restaurant, chasing after Vi.
Miss Hoffman downs her drink and sighs, "Dane, let's go try this obstacle course thing."
Ingrid frowns and glances at Lysanthra, handing her something small, "This is a key to my place. I have something to take care of." She then also leaves.
"Did I fart or something?" Steve scoffs, watching everyone leave.
Brad notices Maya continually, yet occasionally, glance at him. He's pretty sure that she probably likes him.
Dane finishes the last watered-down bit of his drink and rises to follow Meg. As they walk, his mind shifts gears, replaying what he’d seen earlier—the successes and the failures. He notes where competitors rushed, where momentum helped and where it betrayed them, where hesitation cost more than speed. What worked and what didn't.
He flexes his fingers once, testing his grip strength, then glances toward Meg with an awkward but mischievous grin. “If I break something,” he says lightly, “you get to explain it to my dad.”
The tension from the chess match hasn’t fully faded. It sits in the back of his mind like an unresolved variable. So he focuses instead on the angles, timing, leverage—things that make sense.

Nearby: a packed dining area of random festival goers and waiters/waitresses. Frank and Johnny are also nearby. Megana is helping her mother serve drinks.
As Ingrid, Vi, Marshal, Dane and Miss Hoffman leave the restaurant. Sam stands up, "With that, I'm gonna see if Megana needs any help. I'll catch up later, guys," and heads into the bar.
"I didn't think anyone would smell that one," Steve laughs as Maya elbows him and glances from Brad to Liz.
"Yeah!" Emily agrees with Liz, "Can I hang out with you, Liz?" she quickly glances to Steve and Maya, "Unless you guys don't mind me staying."
Steve shrugs and glances at Maya, "What do you think?" and produces a mischievous smile, "I hear that there's a poker tournament later. We could use her to spy on peoples' hands."
"Steve!" Maya exclaims, "That's cheating!"
"Yep, only if we get caught," he winks.
"No! That's awful!" Maya stands up, furious, "That's it!" She walks over and grabs Brad's hand, "Come with me."
"I'll do it!" Emily glances at Liz, "Or are you gonna tell on me?"

Lysanthra squeezes Ingrid's key in her hand. Suddenly, it's way too loud here for her liking. She decides to head out back to Ingrid's house. She's tired and needs time alone to think. She plans to take a shower and find a snack.
As she walks away, Emily scoffs, "Oh, I see how you are! Snitch!"
Steve laughs, "Holy shit! Did you just call her a bitch?"
"No! What kind of person do you..."
She leaves the area of the bar and notices that the crowd is surging towards somewhere up the street. People shouting things like, "They're actually going to fight!" and "Holy crap! Fight of the decade! I can't miss this!" Even some of the law enforcement and sheriff are running the same direction. Liz notices that the sheriff even has his weapon drawn, which is unusual for a fight.
She briefly spots Dane, about ten yards away, trying to point to something up the street, non-verbally communicating with one of the deputies. Liz is forced to stop to avoid getting knocked over by the mob of people running to watch some fight when there's a tap on her shoulder.

Liz feels someone touch her shoulder. Her body tenses as her system wants to jump into fight mode. She clenches her right hand into a fist and spins around to see who tapped her.

Ingrid jumps back with a startle, "Liz, it's me!" As she has her hands up like she's under arrest. "Let's get out of here! Things are about to get crazy!" She reaches for Liz's hand, as if to guide her somewhere.
