"Thank you, Chief. I'm honored to receive them," Megana smiles as she graciously accepts the items and puts them on; hoping to warm up."
Vi also thanks the Chief, "Thank you for these. May I request that we get our armor out of the APC? Our armors would be an added layer against the cold and in turn a potentially better hunt."
The Chief nods, intensely contemplating Vi's question as he rubs his chin. He then looks back at them, nodding more, "Normally, I would say no because the armor make too much noise and scare away the game. I'll allow it this time because the armor will scare the deer towards camp." The Chief nods towards Ant, "Go with old WolfBane," pointing at Dusty, "Help him fetch their armors. We must begin preparations."
As the Chief sits on his own carved log chair, several of the women bring in wooden platters of nugget sized cooked meat. Vi and Megana find the aroma actually delicious. Who'd have thought that a wolf might taste okay? Well, it depends on the level of hunger. They begin passing out two nuggets of meat to everyone, including Vi and Meg. The Chief keeps four extra nuggets, "Ant and WolfBane will need some as well." He smiles at anyone who'd shot him an accusing stare.
Dusty and Ant return with a bulging rucksack, holding Megana's plastic armor and Vi's Huntsman armor. As the rucksack is opened up, frost begins to instantly form on their armors from the sudden temperature shift. Many of the children in the room express wonder at the high technology of the armor. Built in translators, temperature and environmental controls and made of super dense compounds, protecting the wearer from lethal attacks. Dusty rarely wears armor though. He says it restricts his speed and can tend to be noisy.
OOC: Guys plan to eat the food and get dressed?
