She considers her options carefully. Run and she could get caught in no time. Fight and she could end up dead. Is it worth it to protect the others? Liz already knows her answer. That's what she had decided when she stepped out of the water. She looks around quickly, thoughts racing with possible scenarios. She sizes up the man and gauges the distance between them in a matter of seconds. The only option that seems wise is to get him close enough to kick and take out his knee. If she could drop him or knock him off balance, then he may drop the gun and she could get out of this alive. Hopefully the gun would land in the water or close enough to her so that she could pick it up. She could use all her strength to hopefully break his knee and get away. If she's able to get the gun from the man, could she use it? She knows how it works but does she have it in her to kill? If need be, then Liz would do whatever it takes to survive and this is a life and death situation. She takes a step to her left and prepares for him to step closer. All she has to do is kick at the correct angle so that his knee will go sideways. Lysanthra waits for him to lunge at her.
He doesn't step closer. Instead, he seems interested in what's in the water behind her. He slowly moves to the side and pulls a flashlight with his free hand, never taking the gun off of Lysanthra. "Who is that?" He shines the flashlight into the water, directly on Meg and Emily, who're almost across the creek. "Come on out of there, or I kill your friend."

Lysanthra didn't have time to think. "I'll come with you," she quickly blurted out. She would be damned if she let someone else get hurt or killed because of her. The only question was whether or not the man would leave Megana and Emily alone.

The bandana masked man nods, "Good, it's nice to have one that cooperates. Stay put, you hear?" as he shines his flashlight back into the water, trying to spot whoever is in the water. He never takes his gun off of Liz.

Lysanthra decides to take a chance. He might be pointing the gun at her but his main focus is the water. If she can knock him into the water, she can run. Liz springs forward as quickly as she can towards him hoping to knock him off balance so he'd slip. Besides Megana and Emily can still get away.

With that, Liz springs into action, lunging forward and body checking the man backwards into the water. A deafening pop causes her ears to begin ringing as the adrenaline kicks in. A deep splash is heard as the man yells out, "Oh you're dead!" then gargles some water while still shouting.
OOC: Nice surprise attack. Actions?

Lysanthra knows she can't handle him on her own so her only option is to run while he's in the water. She darts away quickly hoping to run far enough to either find help or hide. Liz also hopes Emily and Megana get to safety as well. Maybe she will find them again soon. No matter what she begins running at full sprint and knows her life depends on what she does next.

She runs back towards the town, just far enough to be out of view of the creek. She could double back, but head north instead, he probably would never expect her to double back. She could also run to the stables on the far side of town. There's plenty of hay to hide under. The lumberyard is another candidate. She begins sweating as the fear slowly creeps in.
"Liz!" She hears someone yell, "Liz, come back to me." she feels someone grab her shoulders as she flinches and blinks.

"Liz!" Lysanthra blinks open her eyes, "Wake up... it's a bad dream!" Ingrid's concerned face hovers over hers. She's still on the couch, the end credits are rolling for the the movie. Her face is damp with perspiration and her hands are trembling. "Are you okay?" Ingrid asks, trying to help her sit up.

It takes Lysanthra a minute to realize she's safe and Ingrid is there. She's had nightmares before but that was so vivid. Liz shakes her head to clear it and thanks Ingrid for waking her up. " That was a terrible dream," she says voice shaking. She reassures Ingrid that she's fine now but deep down she's anything but okay. Lysanthra definitely doesn't want to go back to sleep anytime soon. She stretches and goes to the bathroom. After she does what she needs to Liz splashes cold water on her face and looks at herself in the mirror. She's still shaken up but starting to feel better. Lysanthra rejoins Ingrid and tells her she's feeling better now.

"Are you sure?" Ingrid's concerned expression is one of the first Liz has seen since she was much younger, "Remember what the fortune teller said?" She produces a small cup of tea. "Here, it's chamomile tea. I think it helps calm down anxiety and stress," Liz knows that it tends to make the drinker relaxed, calm... and drowsy. It's generally used to help people sleep or relax.
It's still daylight outside. In fact, only a few hours have passed by. Lysanthra feels as though she had a full night's sleep and was promptly awoken in the middle of a massive adrenaline rush. The muffled, distant cheers from the festival still decorate the sound of the movie credits' score. Even so, every image that she remembers, from the dream, causes the hair on the back of her neck to prickle.

Lysanthra gratefully accepts the tea and takes a sip. Ingrid's concern is touching and she decides to share her dream with her. She tells Ingrid every little detail. When she's done she takes a deep breath and another drink. Liz doesn't know if Ingrid will think she's crazy or not but she feels better after sharing all that. She looks at her friend to guage her reaction to everything. Hopefully Ingrid doesn't think she's completely bonkers.
