"The quad's are back. Let's go!" Mazur suggests, limping back up the alley they came down, then towards the sound of the four wheelers.

"Wait!" Ret shouts, "There's a woman in the wastes. She has a gun." Mazur peers back to notice Ret is definitely pointing at a female shaped figure running toward town, carrying a heavy duty rifle.

Yuno quickly advances toward the west side of town, preparing to engage more monsters. Lux just smiles, staying with the group. Amy and Beth just stare out of town to the woman. She's noticed everyone staring at her.

"Okay," Mazur responds somewhat sarcastically. "Let's wait here ... maybe she saw we were in trouble, and wants to sell us her gun!"

"Or maybe ...", he adds quietly, while positioning himself at a corner of the building so that he can peer around to check out the new stranger, while still maintaining some sort of cover, "... she just wants to shoot us."

Suddenly, triggered by his own comment, he realizes he hadn't considered the possibility of borrowing a weapon from any of these new strangers. "Hey, Lux," he calls over. "I don't suppose ... would you happen to have an extra little something which would be more effective for dealing with these beasts than this sledgehammer? Something that you would be willing to lend me until we've eliminated this infestation?"

"Okay," Mazur responds somewhat sarcastically. "Let's wait here ... maybe she saw we were in trouble, and wants to sell us her gun! Lux winks, "Yes!" she playfully grins as Yuno runs off. Lux stops and considers Mazur, Ret, Beth and Amy. Where's this library you'd mentioned?"

Mazur looks back towards the woman approaching the town, and considers Lux's response ... taking only a moment to realize that she was talking about Yuno.

Looking then back to the group, he recognizes that while they were hovering on the outskirts of town, the townsfolk in town were still fighting off the undead creatures ... and their new 'friend' could be of some use back towards the town center.

"The library is this way ..." he gestures, indicating the shortest route back to the suggested meeting point. "We can take you there," he adds, waving for Reg, Beth, and Amy to follow as he turns and begins to limp down the road.

Luckily, the journey goes rather easily as Mazur spies two more corpses lying along an adjacent street. The crushed heads look like Yuno's handiwork. Cutting over a block then up two more. Up ahead, four individuals look to be locked in combat with a trio of walking dead. If Mazur isn't mistaken, one looks to be Shep, with his flowing silver beard, whipping about as he impales one of the shambling zombies with a pitchfork. Another silhouette with a sword strikes the same zombie straight in the throat, using the pitchfork tines as a guide, causing a brief spark.

A third person actually tries boxing with a zombie, getting a nice solid wet smacking punch, knocking the undead into the open hotel doorway, only to be hit right back, landing the boxer on his butt. The fourth individual is sitting against a four-wheeler. With a defeated posture, the person draws a pistol from his hip and begins aiming towards the zombies. Mazur isn't sure which one.

Without hesitation, Lux grins at Mazur, "Show me that you aren't afraid. They're only zombies!" she squeaks with excitement as she runs to enter the fray, kicking up gravel behind her. Ret, Amy and Beth look unsure, if not flirting with the thought of fleeing and hiding.

"She's crazy..." Ret's monotone observation exudes sincerity as he steps forward to stand beside Mazur. "I'll go if you do." He sounds confident, but his shaking extremities show otherwise.

"That's Shep. They need help ..." Mazur responds, noting that the boxer and seated individual aren't in the most advantageous of positions. Grimacing at the pain in his ankle, he picks up his pace.

Lux has already entered the fray. The boxer and both unskewered zombies are on their feet. As Mazur, Ret, Amy and Beth approach, Mazur notices that the boxer is Jack, Reggie is the guy with the sword and the seated individual is a policeman.

Shep is barely holding the skewered zombie in place as Reggie hopelessly misses two swings on it. Lux is keeping one of the other zombies quite busy with her fancy footwork and kicks, however, she isn't really hurting it, just showing off.

The policeman fired off a round at the zombie and missed it so much that he nearly hit Jack, who's now standing shocked at the chaos that just erupted around him. Blood pouring from an open wound on his cheek, he's too distracted to notice the final zombie speed shambling toward the half conscious policeman, who's swollen black eyes would be lucky to see it coming, even if he was completely coherent. Mazur knows that if he hurries, he might be able to keep the zombie busy, but at the risk of his own safety.
