Kila glances from Raven to the other people around. She sighs to herself as she closes her eyes and focuses on keeping herself nice and calm.

At the moment, Cassandra just waits with a slightly aloof expression on her face. Kila knows that the red headed warrior is likely coming up with contingency plans.

Tyran casts.

OOC: sorry, out of town on a work retreat, and no real time to post more until next week.

Kila glances from Raven to the other people around. She sighs to herself as she closes her eyes and focuses on keeping herself nice and calm. Cassandra just waits with a slightly aloof expression on her face. Kila knows that the red headed warrior is likely coming up with contingency plans.

Tyran begins casting, drawing power from all available and the close proximity to the leyline. Slowly, a ball of magical energy turns bluish-white and grows from its golf ball sized stature to more of a baseball size. Tyran continues the incantation Ricky keeps a wary gaze on Jenna, who seems almost gaunt and drenched in sweat.

ooc: Cassandra really does not have anything further to do until the magic succeeds or fails

Tyran is absorbed in his casting, so unless someone actively interrupts him, he just keeps on going; oblivious how others are reacting.

Kila takes long calming breaths as she waits for the spell to work. Tyran is absorbed in his casting, oblivious how others are reacting. The baseball sized ball soon becomes the size of a bowling ball, continuing to grow until a person could easily duck through. Then the interior of the portal shows that of webs of bluish white energy, fracturing across vast darkness, with daylight appearing at the distant end of what could be a tunnel in the blackness. Eventually the opening is large enough to comfortably walk through.

Jenna collapses. Her face is extremely pale and clammy. Ricky rushes over to her. "Oh no! Jenna!"

Dirk's birds-eye view shows Tyran that the slavers are nearly to shore. The Altarans are already pointing in the group's direction. Another soft breeze drifts in, whispering, "Forgotten... "

Kila glances around at the group then back toward the ocean to see if the slavers are close. " we have to move now" she says as she squeezes Ravens hand.

Raven gives a surprised look to Kila as he begins to start for the portal. He stops, looking from Kila to Jenna and Ricky. He nods after giving her a quick glance. He seems to stare mostly at her lips, as though waiting for her to say something. He then leads her towards Jenna and helps Ricky prop Jenna up on their shoulders. "You're right." Is all he says as he rushes for the portal.
