"I probably know far about the minions of the Unholy than most. I might be able to give some advice to what might help. Of course, I understand you don't trust me but if you have any questions, I will do the best I can to answer them."

"Hmmph. I thank you for your offer, Apok," John says acidly "But help from you I can do without. You claim to be reformed, but I say you're still a traitor to your own kind. I will have nothing to do with you. Now if you don't mind, I need to gather my belongings and be on my way."

"Of course, finding one 'John' amongst hundreds in Worldgate may be a challenge ... do you have a last name as well?" Darl asks John before he can take his leave.

As he stuffs his gear into the already overloaded pack that Harvey is carrying, John pauses long enough to tell Darl "My name is John Stormbringer. I'll leave your description with the first inn I come to and ask the innkeeper to pass on my whereabouts to you and you alone." He eyes Harvey's pack suspiciously, deciding that it's not going to fit both of their belongings. He rummages through the pack, displacing some of its contents with John's own. Harvey opens his mouth as if to protest, but a glance from John silences him. John, Harvey and Dan leave Darl, Belle and Jonesy standing around a small pile of old, warn clothing.

Under her mask, Belle smiles wanly, "Yes, I did betray those who trusted me. Did you not betray those around you as well? How can you call me a traitor when you are one as well?" There is a little bit of condescension in the Apok's voice.

Otherwise, she will not wait for further answer and start heading towards where Jonesy says they were ambushed. The pace that she will set is pretty slow, does not seem to be a race to get there.

Seeing that his actions have left John and Harvey short a backpack, Darl makes them an offer. "Here ... I can spare another bag or two," he states, before retrieving two of his own 'regular' pouches from his backpack. Transfering the contents to other bags, he gives them to John and Harvey. "It's not much, but it should help."

"Good luck in your search," he adds to Belle as she departs. "I will keep an eye out for you on the road this afternoon." While normally, a little dance with goblins would sound like good sport, he has more pressing matters that he would like to address first.

Stepping aside, so as to make way for Dan, John, and Harvey, he nods his farewell. "And to you as well. I wish you safe travels, and the best of luck in your quest. Have you any messages you would like brought back to NewHome, or for your lady and children travel companions?"

Not anticipating an answer, but still wanting to plant just a seed of guilt in these men's minds, Darl then turns to head back towards town ... suddenly feeling extremely vulnerable, and eager to find a quiet room all to himself.

ic: Belle nods to Darl, "Thank you. Be careful in the town as well. Is there any place specific you want to meet at assuming that I come back this way?" having an extra hand to wield gun or blade is not a bad idea but she understands that he might have other things to do.

As well, she feels a little bad that the others don't even want to see what advice she might be able to give. She will make one last turn to look towards them gathering up their stuff.

Otherwise, she will walk towards where the 'ambush' took place.
