“Hmm .., let me take a look …”
Tyran investigates the wound, trying to determine what the best course of action might be for Peyton’s wound … pulling an RMK out of his back pack to assist, if necessary.

“Hmm... let me take a look …” Tyran investigates the wound, trying to determine what the best course of action might be for Peyton’s wound… pulling an RMK out of his back pack to assist, if necessary. The arrow looks deep enough to maybe slice through the pleura membrane, thus could cause him to cough up blood. He quickly checks to make sure he didn't bite his tongue or split his lip. The best course of action would be to yank the arrow straight back out or surgically cut it out.
Ant and Adam both hover, hoping for the best as Trevor chimes in, "No matter what, it's going to do some damage to get it out." He points at the RMK, "Although that thing, if it's fully charged and stocked, will probably save him."
"Hey Vi, got any meat? If not, then it's okay," she kneels down offer her hand to allow the wolves get her scent to see if she can tame them any other way. The wolves lips curl back as she approaches, but seem to show her enough respect not to attack. They seem curious
Vi starts to check her gear for any meat while mumbling , "Now where did I put it? I don't think I ate it all up." Yet, she can't find any meat.

“If the arrow had got anything vital, I suspect you would never have made it this far … How are you feeling? Is probably best if we get you home before attempting any sort of surgery … think you can make it back?”
Assuming the answer is yes, Tyran will carefully shear off the arrow with a vibroblade; leaving enough shaft for them to still be able to easily grip the arrow when it comes time to remove it … but shortening it so that is less likely to bounce around or catch on anything, causing further damage.

“If the arrow had got anything vital, I suspect you would never have made it this far. How are you feeling? Is probably best if we get you home before attempting any sort of surgery … think you can make it back?”
"I feel like wolf shit... but I think I can make it," as Adam takes his opposite arm over his shoulder to help him along.
Tyran carefully shears off the arrow with his vibro-blade; the buzzing razor leaving enough shaft for them to still easily grip the arrow when it comes time to remove it, while shortening it so that is less likely to bounce around or catch on anything, causing further damage.
Vi looks disappointed, "Sorry, no more meat on my end. Oh well," She walks over to Dusty, "So what's next, old man?"
Megana seems to stare at the three wolves, almost as though she's daydreaming, then snaps out of it as Vi walks away. Dusty side-eyes Vi, thinks for a moment, as though he may have missed something, then replies with, "I suppose the wise choice would be to go with them in case they need help, then assess how good or bad the tribe faired in the battle, then reward our two new friends with a nice meal," as he gestures towards Tyran. "Did you have something different in mind, Vi?"

Vi looks back in the direction of the den," well we did overlook the den. How about we hit that on the way back . I know you got tore up by the wolves . Give you a chance to feel out how bad your injuries are ."

Vi peeks at the den, "Well, we did overlook the den. How about we hit that on the way back. I know you got tore up by the wolves. Give you a chance to feel out how bad your injuries are."
Trevor shoots Vi an expression of pure disbelief, "Or we don't risk it and get him back to the camp."
"Fucking hell," Megana exhales the kind of long‑suffering sigh reserved for stubborn animals and stubborn friends. She steps toward the wolves, eyes narrowing in concentration. The lead wolf blinks, startled, like someone just whispered an embarrassing secret directly into his brain, then spins and bolts. The other two follow so fast they might as well be auditioning for Fast & Furious: Lupine Drift.
Megana throws her hands up and hustles after the group before she’s left dramatically alone in the snow. They stroll right past the den. It’s empty, quiet, and about as welcoming as a motel with flickering neon.
Dusty glances at Vi. “Told ya. Empty. Even the mice packed their bags.”
By the time they reach the camp, the gate guards are already giving Trevor and Tyran the kind of look usually reserved for suspicious leftovers. “These two are from Camp Buford,” one large warrior barks. “Why’d you drag them here?”
“They pretty much saved us from becoming wolf chow,” Adam says. “Also, Payton needs the shaman to remove the arrow.”
The warrior raises a brow. “Wolves shoot arrows now?”
“Yes,” Adam replies without blinking. “I’ll show you the exact one next time we go out.” He gives Payton a wink that says please don’t die before I finish this joke.
Inside the camp, Trevor gawks like a tourist who accidentally wandered into a historical reenactment. Tyran takes it in with a quiet, calculating stare. Everything is rough‑hewn and practical: a bonfire pit big enough to roast a mammoth, a meeting hall turned tribal lodge, and barracks repurposed into cozy family dens.
The shaman, who's a leathery‑faced elder, rushes out and immediately orders Payton onto a bench.
“Bayla, he got hit by a stray arrow,” Ant explains.
“It’s deep,” she mutters, already poking at it. “Nearly fatal. He shouldn’t have been walking around.” Her gaze snaps to Tyran, narrowing. “You’re haunted, boy. Fetch me water from the tribal room and my poultice bag.” She seems to stare uncomfortably long, like she can see something no one else can, as she awaits him to comply.
Meanwhile, Dusty hooks Vi and Megana by the elbows and pulls them aside like he’s about to share state secrets. “I’ve had about all the tribal hospitality I can handle,” he whispers. “Let’s grab Thunder and Gigz, fire up the ATV, and get the hell out of here. It’s not stuck anymore, and everyone’s distracted.” He gestures vaguely toward the chaos of shamanic triage, suspicious warriors, and Trevor poking a ceremonial drum like it might bite him. “See? Perfect time.”
