Anastasia goes to the Father and reassures him, "Father, theres no need to assume, after all were all here to help. Daniel here is searching as he said for a demon while our search is a little different, but working together we may be able to find what each wants. Do you want me to go ahead and help some of the people while you and the others get the questions and answers you both need?"
Anxious to do what she can, Anastasia waits as she looks at the church, all the papers and the destruction that was needless. "There has to be answers here. I'm sure we will find out very soon whats going on or get on track." she says to herself.

Anastasia goes to the Father and reassures him, "Father, theres no need to assume, after all were all here to help. Daniel here is searching as he said for a demon. Do you want me to go ahead and help some of the people while you and the others get the questions and answers you both need?"

"A demon, yes...lots of those around lately aren't there. I don't know of any one in particular around here though...say, you don't think that's what happened to the poor fellow who told you the prophecy do you?" Father Malaki says in his rambling way. "Oh, and everyone has been cared for and is resting in one of the larger meeting rooms. Our priests are looking after them and using a bit of magic where needed to speed the healing process. I'm sure they'll all be up and around soon, but your welcome to offer a hand if you'd like."

Daniel looks around the room and notices all the boxes and papers, "So Father what does it look like?" After Daniel asks the question and finishes examining the room, he looks at the Father eye to eye.

Turning back to Daniel, Father Malaki responds. "The orb you mean? I see..yes..well, it's about this big." He holds up his dirty hands and indicates a shape about the size of a human head. "And it's round...well, obviously it's round, otherwise it wouldn't be much of an orb would it? It's an opaque white in color and when you look into it it seems as though you could see forever if only it weren't so cloudy." A moment of distraction crosses the Fathers face before he continues. "It's called the 'Orb of Iodin', or at least that's assuming that the orb I found is the same one I've come across in my research....no, no...I know it is, it has to be!"

After waiting through Father Malaki's answers, Daniel asks "Father, what happened with the church there? I noticed its partly burned. Anyone inside that section when it caught fire? and whats all this you have kinda piled up around this room?"

"Well, the upper floor caught fire just before dawn. Luckily the lower section we're in now is resin grown so it's not flammable; otherwise, the whole thing would have went poof. You know, with the demon attack coming while we were attempting to put the fire out. I didn't want that upper floor built like that, but Brother Tobius convinced The Cathedral that it would give the people inspiration to see the intricately wrought wood imported from foreign dimensions." Father Malaki continues in a slight conspiratorial tone, "I must admit, that it was a bit awe inspiring...at least before it made Wormwood's biggest bonfire." He puts his hands out, palms up, in a 'what can we do about it' gesture. "I'm afraid the wood is a complete loss and will need to be torn down and discarded. We were able to save most of the rooms contents as the boxes you see around you are resin, so weren't susceptible to the flame. Can't say the same for some of the imported furniture, though."

Anxious to do what she can, Anastasia waits as she looks at the church, all the papers and the destruction that was needless. "There has to be answers here. I'm sure we will find out very soon whats going on or get on track." she says to herself.

Anastasia quite relieved that the people have been taken care of and seem to be resting..tired, she turns to the group "I think that since everyone's taken care of at this point, and resting, I'll wait 'til morning and talk to some of them. I feel a little tired myself, so if you don't mind, I think I'll find a place to lay down and get some sleep so I'll be refreshed and ready to go, unless of course you need me to do something else beforehand, I don't mind."
Anastasia waits now for an answer and still looks around at all the things the Father has in disarray.

Daniel turns to Anastasia, "Hey Anastasia, why dont you go talk to the people attending the wounded to see if you can help with the comfort area of the treatments?"

Daniel starts to look in the Fathers direction, "Father is there anything else we should probably know before we all call it a night?"

"Sure that should be done before they decide to also get some sleep...so I will go ahead and do that. Maybe they've seen or heard of something that we can use, at least I'm hoping so. It would definitely be a great help to all of us. Sooo what are your plans Daniel? Jordan?"

" Who me , plans for this eveing ? Yeah i got plans .. You can say I'm more alive at night ." Daniel smiles at the chance to do little hunting outside of this town he landed in .

Content to let the others ask questions for now, Gerard listens and commits anything he deems valuable to memory. .oO Never know when something might come in handy Oo. Gerard also takes a look around the room to see if any visable things are known to him.

After hearing what the Father had to say , Daniel turns towerds toward Gerard , " So whats your thoughts or ideas bout all this Gerard ? Sence your staying silent all this time . "

"Well what else can you tell us about this Orb Father? Do you have any written research that we can examine? I only ask because you see to speak very reverently about it a bit ago and kind of lost yourself for a second there. Are or were there anything else of value in the other places that were attacked that you can tell us about? Also I see you have a lot of boxes and things around here. Have your or anyone else tried to do any kind of inventory to make sure anything else isn't missing? I totally understand if you all have been too busy but I'm kind of interested to see if they made off with anything else be it even a random book or scroll."

Most of the boxes stacked precariously around the room are lidded and their contents unknown. A few lids are haphazardly thrown near some open boxes that appear to contain miscellaneous artifacts of one sort or another...a piece of broken pottery here, a rusty dagger there. Nothing appear to have any particular significance. One open box appears to be stuffed with papers; a few pages of which are resting messily on nearby boxes.

Daniel turns to Anastasia, "Hey Anastasia, why dont you go talk to the people attending the wounded to see if you can help with the comfort area of the treatments?"

Father Malaki gives Anastasia directions down the hall to where the makeshift infirmary is.

“I’m going to wait here and see if anything Father Malaki has for us will help.” Jordan tells Anastasia. “You’ll be alright? When we’re done here I’ll come find you and we’ll find a place to sleep for the night.”

“A place to sleep? Where are my manners, of course you don’t have a place to sleep yet, you just arrived in town, now, didn’t you?” Father Malakis rhetorical question is soon left behind as he rambles on. “There are a couple of empty rooms near the infirmary. We always keep them cleaned and furnished for visiting clergy from the Cathedral. You can use them while you’re here. Oh, but I’ve only got two… hmm, how many are there of you? Have you found the five to satisfy the prophecy?”

After hearing what the Father had to say, Daniel turns towards toward Gerard, "So what’s your thoughts or ideas ‘bout all this Gerard ? Since you’re staying silent all this time."

Gerard, having remained silent long enough, asks "Well what else can you tell us about this Orb Father? Do you have any written research that we can examine? Father Malaki responds in a resigned “I think I’ve told you everything that might be useful already…although, let me look through my things and find my research. Maybe there’s something that can help you. Come back in the morning and I should have it retrieved. As far as other things being stolen, that’s all that we’ve discovered so far, but there may be very well be more. As you can see from my scattering of boxes, I’ve collected a lot of stuff over the years. Tomorrow may reveal more on that front as well.”
