He looks casually, almost looks back at the dispersing crowd near the races, but double takes taking in Vi's 'incentive.' He laughs, "You really know how to get a guy's attention. Okay, I'll do my best then!"

The distraction was enough to snap him out of his odd mood. "We have two hours before I have to do stage two of the obstacle course. An hour until the greaser games. I sort of want to avoid my dad until then. He has a habit of interrupting at the wrong time. What do you feel like doing? I kinda feel like arm wrestling someone, see how I do. Wanna come with? Maybe join? Or we could rent one of the Damodred horses so that you don't have to walk. That'd piss dad off." He grins.

" ok teddy , sure lets go see what you can do after this king of the hill bit. and of course lets get me on something to ride on for the rest of the day ." vi says to teddy with a smile .

"Umm, the King of the Ring is the last event of the day, so, I'm not too worried about that yet." He adds, "And in about an hour I have to get to the obstacle course for stage two with Frank and Steve. But Ill make sure to get a carriage beforehand." He thinks for a moment, "On that thought, you stay here. I'll go get it now." He begins running off to the west side of town, yet still turns to say, "Don't go anywhere," and continues running.

A freckle-faced, dark haired, younger girl runs up and sits on the bench beside Vi. After a few seconds, she turns and giggles, "I saw your boobs," and giggles some more. "My name's Emily! I saw you on the obstacle course. I was rooting for you!"

Vi turns to the girl who sat next to her ," hi there I'm Vi . And thanx I was hoping to continue with the obstacle course but unfortunately..." as Vi looks towards her foot , " well shit happens ."

"I know who you are." she smiles, "I think you're really cool and I don't have many friends here. Can I hang out with you?" Her blue eyes seem hopeful.

"Ok so where is your parents at? or are you here by yourself?" Vi looks at Emily with a concerning look.

As she asks the question, Vi attempts to stand up and takes a look around to see if she can see teddy in the crowd

She hears the firetruck siren heading south of town as she spots a distant pillar of smoke rising above the horizon to the south.

"Umm, I'm an orphan. Hoping to make a friend that I can stay with," she hopefully gazes into Vi's eyes, "Maybe... you?"

"Because, you're a badass chick!" she laughs, "The announcer said that you're an undefeated fighter! I've always wanted to learn how to fight. Will ya teach me?" She pretends to do multiple rapid fire uppercuts. At that moment, Vi notices Sam, the guy Megana was with, walking by, his head hanging and his hands in his pockets. He glances at Vi, gives her a nod and keeps walking by.
