Anastasia looks around as well, but with the fish around, she takes aim once again on one of them and carefully aims at what she would think is the weakest part to get a good shot at and take it down. She aims and fires. Before seeing if she got the fish, she notices Daniel aiming at another one. She goes over to Gerard, "You doing okay now? We need to find some cover but trying to take out these fish at the same time. Have any ideas on where we might want to head to?"

The "cover" I mentioned was on the opposite side of the road from the hill. The goblins are back the way the group came. The area that Daniel and Anastasia are seeing are seeing the flying fish are up the road. The goblin had bounced into the pillars at the side of the road where the cover is. He landed about 30 feet away and somewhat towards the goblins.

"Ok we need to find some cover as we are sitting out here in the open. We can head over to the pillars across the road but lets all decide, and fast, to move. And when we move lets move as quickly as possible. Once we get there we can see if we can get a better vantage on everything that seems to not like us much right now."

Anastasia takes aim once again on one of them and carefully aims. The arrow flies into the fish with a well placed strike, but not doing enough damage, apparently, to take it down. OOC: As far as Anastasia knows, the air fish have no particular location more vulnerable than any other. I would, however, allow a concerted attack on a called area, such as the head or main body, to potentially kill the creature off sooner.

A fraction of a second after Anastasias well place shot dark black fire blasts from Daniel's outstretched hand and flies up the road at amazing speed and strikes one of the fish. Daniel can still feel the grip of fear in him at the site of the fish. OOC: You forgot to give me a PPE count again, so I can't assign damage yet.

Behind them Jordan continues to close on the line of goblins.

OOC: I am delaying the enemy actions and Gerards action for a moment to give Daniel and Anastasia one last chance to respond to Gerard. The verbal portion of the responses will not be considered an action unless you plan on reciting a novel. I do need an actual action from Gerard at some point, but if you guys want to have some quick dialog first, that's fine. I just can't continue (or will count the dialog as an action) if he doesn't declare an actual action soon.

(ooc: sorry joe , my bad man .. it would be the same as last time 15 ppe . )

Daniel looks around and spots the pillars and hears Gerard say they need to find cover fast , " Gerard , man I agree lets make our way to the pillars . Everyone get your asses moving .. I will cover the rear !!!! "


(ooc: joe when we can i have an idea of this part that i want to talk to you on skype bout it .. )

Gerard waits a few more seconds to see if the others say anything. "Ok, I'm heading over to better cover and will try to help cover you all once you head to me unless we are moving as one, like now. I also have no idea what you two are attacking as I don't see a thing down that way." Gerard gathers up Zeke and prepares to try and get to better cover on the other side of the road. Gerard shoulders his rifle and pulls out his pistol to put down cover fire as he and/or the group moves.

Daniel looks at the group real quick ," When i say , get your asses moving to those pillars .....

"NOW GET MOVING !!!!!!" Daniel focuses slightly as the darkness begins.

Anastasia quickly gathers her things and turns to the others "You know Daniel has never stirred us in the wrong direction and always helped us out, so I think we better hurry and get going to the pillars as soon as possible..if you need help with you stuff i will help you but lets move it!!"

Darkness envelopes Anastasia, Gerard and Daniel as Daniel's spell takes hold. The group can still just make out the outline of the pillars that they are heading towards to gain some cover. Hopefully the difficulty they are having in seeing is having the same affect on the attackers.

BOOM! Another grenade explodes in the newly formed darkness. The attacker on the hillside appears to have gotten his range down a little better as Anastasia and Gerard feel the sting of shrapnel bite into their flesh {14 damage each}. Zeke screams and rips his reins from Gerard's hand and bolts off into the darkness. The whistle of an arrow and then a smaller, sharper explosion can be heard off towards the pillars they are fleeing to. The attacker shooting arrows from up on the hillside doesn't appear to have gotten any better at aiming, it appears.

In response to the fire coming down from above, Gerard manages to shoot off a burst from the pistol up towards the hillside. He can't tell if any of the shots hit, but at least no more explosions come down on them before they reach the pillars and find cover behind them.

The smell of explosives wafts over the field of battle. The only sound besides the ringing in their ears is the ring of Jordan's sword as he alone remains to battle the three goblins at the end of the road.

{OOC: New round. Order of attacks is Gerard, Anastasia, then Daniel. That means that Gerard and Anastasia's next action will happen before Daniel can lower the darkness spell unless they choose to forgo their position in the initiative order. Doesn't mean that Daniel is planning on lowering it.}

Anastasia still trying to recover from the stings of the grenade,turns and asks "Are you okay Gerard? That was a little too close! But I think once we get under cover in the pillars, we can gather our thoughts of what to do next. We definitely need to help out Jordan from where we are in the pillars, as the safe spot. and get rid of those nasty creatures and get him up here with us. What do you think?"
