As Daniel turns around , he pulls his tail around and carefully takes aim at the middle goblin, blasting it with a bolt of shadowy power.

Daniel yells back at everyone ,"Here they come guys .You better get ready to defend yourselves."

Daniel's shot goes wide of it's mark and blasts into the ground a few dozen feet back down the road. Creating a small crater in the road. Future travellers probably aren't going to be too happy about that.

Anastasia looks around, shaking it off, looks to Gerard "Thanks...I don't know what even happened but we definitely have a problem here." She readies herself with her saber and hunting knife , but seeing as these little goblins are far enough away, she pulls out her short bow and arrows and prepares her careful aim. She aims at the far left one very carefully and looses the arrow.

Amazingly, the little goblin lifts his shield up at the last moment and deflects the arrow, sending it sailing up into the air and out of site.

Once Gerard sees the others go into action he unshoulders his rifle and looks back around to the front of the group in case more have come into the open. "This is going to be fun I think..."

From up on the hillside above them the group hears a "whoomp" sound and a fraction later they see an object the size of a grenade come streaking out. The grenade falls short and explodes with a loud boom, showering the group with debris, but no one is harmed. Zeke, startled by the loud sound runs off a few feet before stopping over near the side of the road.

Before the ringing in their ears stops, an arrow streaks out from above, heading straight towards Daniel.

The three goblins in the road stand their ground; satisfied, for the moment, to just keep the group from escaping and allow there friends above to rain down death on the group.

Gerard's mind suddenly becomes clouded and he's having trouble concentrating.

Jordan takes a quick look up the road and says "Where are those Air Fish you saw? I don't see them anywhere." He shakes his head as if trying to clear it of cobwebs. Seeing that the goblins down the road aren't attacking, Jordan rushes them instead.

"Ugh what's going on...hard to try and target one of those goblins..." Gerard shakes his head trying to clear the cobwebs and again tries to bring his rifle around. "We are not in a good spot as it seems they have some high ground as well as a launcher of some sort. We need to figure out if we can get to cover as well as move!"

Daniel's ears ringing , he ducks down and covers them for a second . Remembering the fist can take to the air , he looks up to see if he can spot the flying fish .

"Dammit where are they at ? "

Anastasia looks around and sees nothing. "We do need to get to higher ground. That arrow should've taken that guy out. So any ideas where we can get to? It looks like there may be a spot further in, but with those flying fish, I for one am not willing to take that chance. So whoever else has an idea, speak up and let's get going and fast!"

OOC: Daniel has an arrow flying at him, I was hoping you'd get the idea that I need a dodge/parry/take the damage type of decision.

Daniel sees the flying fish right where he last saw them, blocking the upper end of the road. The are flying and crawling and snarling. Drool drips from their fanged maws.

(ooc : i was going for a dodge while looking to see where the friendly nieghborhood flesh eating fish were at )

Daniel easily dodges the incoming arrow which explodes against a nearby pillar on the other side of the road.

OOC: Sorry for the delay. I'm back in town so things should pick back up again. I now need your next actions.

Daniel raises his hand and uses it as a aiming devise and fires another blast off at the closest fish this time .

Gerard continues to shake his head to try and clear his thoughts so he can look around for a better spot for the group.

OOC: The shots came down from above up a steep hillside...could pretty much be called a cliff. Scaling it would be time consuming and difficult (not that that's what the group has in mind). Pillars to the opposite side of the road would offer the only cover nearby. Some are definitely big enough to offer cover...at least until the pillar takes enough damage to fall down. I need next actions for Gerard and Anastasia. It sounds as if you each want to look for cover, but I would like a little more detail if possible.
