"Cheers," Shep says before downing his shot as well. He feels the burn of the alcohol warm his throat and chest on the way down. "As long as nobody else is carrying weapons either, we should be fine in Silvereno. Hopefully they've got somewhere secure to keep people from walking off with our gear."
Shep takes a big bite of the bagel sandwich. "Getting there sounds like it could be a little dicey. How are you and anybody else tagging along equipped for armor and weapons?"
"Silvereno authorities are probably some of the most honest bunch of guys I've ever met. As for the trip, some of the loggers are on days off, so they want to join up to hit the casinos and brothel. Just you and us bunch of goods on hover-cycles. There's no faster way through these mountains. Usually we go so fast that nothing has a chance to get us, although, once in while, they try ambushing. That's why you're with." He finishes up his eggs by mashing them between two slices of toast, savoring it.
"You two want another?" Jason asks, holding up the caramel and whiskey cider.

"I'm good." Shep waves to Jason. "Thanks, anyway."
Turning back to Hatchet, he says, "In that case, I can fly overwatch and hopefully spot any ambushes in time to warn you before you ride into them."

Hatch nods, asking for one more, replying, "Whatever fits best. I think seeing the firepower of something that looks like the lovechild of a Glitterboy and SAMAS should make most vermin a bit skittish. It'll make the boys feel a bit safer and keep the morale of the workers high. That, and I think you'll find this town entertaining and relaxing. Just steer clear of the Silver Dollar. If you happen to wander into the Shaft Saloon, then be careful who you mix with."
Jason arrives, setting down a shot for both Shep and Hatch. (OOC LOL)

Shep frowns. "Okay, stay away from the Silver Dollar. Easy enough. But what's the issue with the Shaft Saloon? What kind of people are in there that I might not mix well with?" He leaves the shot where it is for now. He has a feeling that if he drinks it, Jason and Hatchet will just take it as encouragement to pour him another.

"It's where all the miners and working class go to unwind. They're a tightknit bunch and tend to stick up for one another, regardless of circumstances. So if one of them fellas just doesn't fancy the way you take a sip of a beer, then you're aiming to not just scrap with him, but all of em. Not all of em are human." He lifts his glass to cheers Shep. "Shall we?"

"Noted. I'm sure there are plenty of other places to kick my feet up." Shep finishes he hopes is one last shot and then finishes his sandwich.

"Oh yea! Wait'll you see the Lady Luck, Trails End or The Silver Palace. They're great! Although, the only place to buy a battery acid is at the Shaft and the only place to gawk at showgirls is at the Silver Dollar. Just some rough crowds there. I steer clear unless I'm feeling a might suicidal or lonesome," their glasses clink and he downs his, "Lady Luck has a night of female companionship for purchase if you're into that. Doesn't have to be for bedding them. Could just be for a lovely lady to gander a flick with or go have grub buddy."
Hatch stands, "Rendezvous back here in an hour. I need to gather up my travel gear."
OOC: Any prep you need before meeting back up?

Shep heads back to his bunk and pulls out his rucksack. He packs a fresh set of more stylish clothes to change into, his first aid kit, and a canteen of clean water. As an afterthought, he adds the Geiger counter as well. He debates for a moment, then decides to add the .357 to the bag too. He only has two rounds for it, but maybe he can pick up more in Silvereno. He finishes by strapping the vibro-knife to his side and tucking the harmonica into a pocket.
He takes a look in the mirror and decides he still looks old and weathered, though at least he shaved that morning and brushed his hair neat. He pulls it back into a ponytail so it stays out of his face while he's flying or moving around in the Silver Eagle.

He takes a look in the mirror and decides he still looks old and weathered, though at least he shaved that morning and brushed his hair neat. He pulls it back into a ponytail so it stays out of his face while he's flying or moving around in the Silver Eagle.
Upon heading back to his Silver Eagle, he notices several people admiring the thing, with comments such as, "Is that a new prototype?" and "Looks Coalition... That's the last thing we need is those S.O.B.s nosing around here..." and "Person who owns that must be mighty set. I'd definitely appreciate a windfall." Followed by, "Oh yeah? How much d'ya reckon it's worth?"
As Shep walks up and begins loading up into the small storage boxes, most of the people disperse. A lone curious, strapping, young, blonde unruly-haired spectator approaches, "Sir? Where can I purchase me one of these fancy armors? How much did it set ya back?"

Shep smiles apologetically. "I couldn't say. I inherited this family heirloom. I'm not even sure you can still buy them anywhere. It's a bit of a relic."
He gives the young man a measured look, quietly weighing whether there's any real chance he might try something foolish. "Unfortunately, it tends to draw the attention of the CS, and that's something I'd rather avoid."
