OOC: Bartering in Wormwood is the same except that the OCC/RCC's of Wormwood don't come with any bartering items. In hindsight, I would have given everyone some basic gems or something to get you started, but since I didn't, you're having to deal with being mostly broke at the moment and having to rely on the generosity of others. The group has managed to acquire some barter-able items along the way, however. Unfortunately Daniel gave away the most valuable item of the bunch to a bar wench. Typical human, always a sucker for a pretty face.

On the other hand, they will probably never want for room and board any time they come back to Chisel Town....so long as there's room at the inn, so to speak.
So, to speed things up a bit...
IC: Gerard manages to find his way around to where two men are working on a large piece of metal plate, obviously trying to pound it into something useful. Body armor for a 20 foot tall giant. The thought might bring a chuckle if it weren't so possibly true. After a few moments of bartering, one of the men agrees to exchange a specially designed angel hair horse blanket, hood and leggings that will protect the horse adequately enough. (Specs: 35 MDC head, 70 mdc body , 30 mdc each leg; energy weapons do half damage; -10% movement penalty.) In exchange, Gerard had to give up the laser pistol they took off of one of the dead goblins. The men wanted the combination rifle/grenade launcher, but Gerard was able to haggle with them and get a much better deal. {OOC: In the interest of speeding things along, I took some liberties with the negotiating. Let me know if this satisfies your needs. If you had something else in mind I will take that into consideration and possibly revise this trade.}
Having satisfied their days curiosity, shopping needs and rest, the group of travelers returns to the gate a little bit before noon and scouts out the area. All they can see is the normal ebb and flow of traffic passing through the gate. They settle in to wait for Darl.
{OOC: Feel free to RP among yourselves while I finish up the Darl thread real quick. Shouldn't be too long.}
