Frank thinks for a second before saying, "Yea, I'll just do that and get a burger after. Oh before I forget to mention this i had a lot of fun in the cooking competition earlier was wondering if there was a place I could learn to do that a bit better. My dish didn't quite turn out how I had envisioned." Sighs slightly then continues, "The bacon I used had more fat than I expected so I made a greasy delicious mess."

"I've heard of a few places that you could go to school to be a chef, which is like a professional best of the best cook," his mom replies as Frank notices that Megana is working at the grill and fryers. Angie notices her son watching Megana and smiles, "Would you like to start by showing her how the fryer and grill work?"

OOC: Double posting. Haven't heard from you in over a month. I hope you're okay.

A moment later, Angie turns around and shouts out, "Cook them together, the chicken flavor is really good in the fries and they take about the same amount of time to cook."

With that, Megana begins the incredibly hot task of frying up food. As she stands there, mindlessly filling baskets, plates and sacks with her creations as she overhears stories from the patrons. One story seems interesting enough. About the fire that everyone noticed earlier just south of town. Apparently, someone had found an old exoskeleton suited power armor in a shed and tried to fly off with it, only to be attacked by what looked like a dragon. The thing of mythical stories. The poor soul was clawed and burned alive by what was probably another power armor, losing miserably.

Other conversations include talks of people pointing at Frank stating that he and Dusty could finally win the obstacle course.

Other patrons continue talking about past events being much more boring than the current one. A lady inquires what makes this year so special.

Frank's dad nods to him, "Once you're done eating, I want you and Johnny to help Megana out at the grill. Sound good?"

Frank nods confirming he heard his father before heading over to the grill. "So how did you get good at this? Even though I'm here a lot I always seem to burn or over grease whatever I cook." He says mildly embarrassed.

Felix sighs, "Well, I was like you at your age. I thought I could be a world renown chef and miserably failed. I found that practice and slight adjustments makes close to perfection. I've never seen perfect, but close." He ponders, staring at the ceiling, then continues, "I kept messing up. Eventually, when I started working here, I found that it gets easier over time. You learn as you go. My true passion is making spirits and different brews. Someday, we will expand the Couleé product continent wide someday." He smiles at Frank, finally focused again, "I'm proud of how much you've learned, son."

Megana seems pretty busy with figuring out the fryer as his dad rambles on.

A commotion stirs as someone bursts into the bar and shouts, "Vi and Teddy are going to fight! They're in the gym!"

"Huh, I guess she finally found him," Frank says with a smirk. He then sets anything he has down and calmly walks toward the disturbance. "Hey dad, how bad do you think this lovers quarrel is going to get this time?" He asks on while moving to see the excitement outside.

Many of the patrons leave their food, games and/or drink and rush out of the bar towards the school gym. As the door opens and shuts, Frank can see that the same situation is occurring outside. As the bar becomes less packed, more patrons, uninterested in the potential fight of the decade, enter the bar for their chance at trying the food and drinks.

Felix begins trying to form lines so that he and Angie can quickly take care of patrons. He glances back at Frank, "On her busted ankle? I doubt she'll beat him without getting a lucky hit in," then scowls, "Back to the grill! We're about to have another rush!"

Frank hears mostly orders for beer, whiskey or both, but then the food orders begin pouring in, doubling up the current orders on the ticket wheel. After Frank finishes the burgers, he has orders for grilled chicken and several salads. At this rate, Frank isn't sure that he won't mess something up.

OOC: Imagine some of the places you've worked, with the biggest rush you could imagine, without the luxury of fancy machines to keep everything warm or cold as you go.

OOC: Is Frank going to run and watch the brawl instead? :D

Frank man's his station at the grill and helps with the rush. He makes sure to keep the chicken and beef separated to prevent cross contamination. Constantly checking to make sure he doesn't burn anything this time as well. Then he tries his best to plate the orders to send to the fryer section for the sides before heading to the customer. If he catches up with the food orders he will begin to help with the drink orders.

OOC: if he starts to burn everything he'll take over drink orders sooner 😅

He tries his best to plate the orders to send to the fryer section for the sides before serving it to the customer.

As he moves along, quickly completing his orders, his dad nods at keeping the meats separated, then sets a plate of grilled chicken back in front of him. "Alright, take over at the bar," he says without explaining why. Frank immediately moves to work, mostly pouring ale and lagers, noticing his dad cooking the chicken after cutting it open, revealing dark pink. He realizes that he was so concerned about burning them that he undercooked them. Frank knows that he's as fast, if not faster than his dad, when it comes to mixology.

After several minutes, Steve and Emily enter the bar and sit in two conveniently empty seats in front of Frank.

"Shirley Temple, whoever that is," Emily demands, even though Frank hasn't even looked at her.

"Hey, show some manners. He's busy and will get to you when he can," Steve scolds.

"I thought he was the fastest glass pourer in the wastelands!" She uncomfortably and loudly shouts.

"Yeah, but not Juicer fast. Crap kid, calm down! You need something to mellow you out." Steve tries to avoid looking at her as he patiently waits. He mentioned "Juicer." Frank's heard the old timers mention them, but doesn't know what one is.

Angie laughs as she takes over pouring beers, "I need a break. Frank, would you move on to wine and hard pours?" she asks, referring to whiskey, liquor, wine and some of the tequilas. "You're better at it than I am."

Frank notices Steve clandestinely pump his fist, like things are suddenly going his way.

Meanwhile, Johnny is frantically trying to learn the grill as his dad loosely shows him the basics. His dad is having him start on grilled cheese sandwiches, praying that Johnny doesn't screw even those up. Frank remembers learning those. He'd always have to set the bread towards the edge of the grill to avoid burning the bread before the cheese would melt. Johnny has the bread right in the middle of the grill; the hottest surface.
