When Emily chimes in, asking to come along, he hesitates for a second — not quite sure how to handle her enthusiasm — then gives a small, uncertain smile. “Uh… yeah, sure. I mean, if you want. I guess anyone who wants to can come along.”

"Yippee!" Emily squeaks. "Where are we going?" She skips over to Sam and Megana and crew, "You guys are coming too, right?"

Sam shrugs as Steve and Maya look to Megana in confusion.

Megana turns her attention to dane and miss.Hoffman. " come along then. I know frank's families bar has the best food around!!"

"I'd like to go do a little shopping, first. Something I want to pick up." He reiterates, since that was his original intent before Emily got things all sidetracked. .oO Is it dinner time already? I feel like I just ate lunch. Oo.

With s tip of her hat she acknowledges Dane's words "we can meet up there if you wish. I intended to go help them after the steeplechase" she spoke with her head leaning on Sam's shoulder.

“Sure. We’ll meet you there in a bit,” Dane says with a small nod, then glances toward Emily. “And, uh… you’re still welcome to come with us if you want.” It comes out a little stilted, but sincere. He gives Meg Hoffman’s hand a gentle squeeze and starts walking, letting whoever decided to tag along fall in with them. Once they’ve put a little distance between themselves and the stables, he says “So… I’m actually looking for a satchel for the tablet,” he explains. “Something mostly waterproof, with a couple pockets for the peripherals. You seen anything like that? Or know a good place to look?”

Megana turns her attention to Dane and Miss Hoffman. "Come along then. I know Frank's family's bar has the best food around!"

Emily yips with over-abundant energy as she falls in creepily close to Dane. Steve and Maya nod to Sam, "Hey, we'll meet you there," Steve winks, then leans in to Maya, "Let's give them some alone time."

"Vi's mom's shop sells them!" Meg smiles, "She does all sorts of taxidermy and leather work."

"Oooh, what's the satchel for? Do you guys smoke the cactus plant?" Steve interestedly asks.

"Why would anyone smoke at all?" Emily grumps, giving Steve an accusatory look.

"Hey, it's all natural and safe!" Steve defends.

Finally, Maya, who's usually silent, asks, "Hey, you two. Could I get a picture of you two together?" As she produces her camera, waiting for Dane and Megana to answer.
