Jordan looked to the serving woman and spoke gently,understanding that she was more then likely over worked and given little respect. "I would also care for a meal if it is of no trouble."

When the woman left the Apoks gaze went immediately to the newly aquired member of their group, Belle. His intense gaze softens to his general demeanor with that look of saddness that often crosses his features whenever he spoke to people.

"Dark Belle, I see that you are willing to join our cause and your words are valued in this company as we have come to trust in your words through your deeds. I would like to know however how far you are willing to commit to our cause. I can speak only of myself, but I am willing to lay my life down for any in our group if it came to that. No one here would doubt your desire to expunge evil from Wormwood, nor would we ever consider your betrayal, as you are Apok, one of the few beings I can openly trust on face value. But I would want to know if you plan to join our family, to be a member of our band to whatever end might come. I cannot promise you life, victory or reward, but I can promise commitment, dedication and a group of people who would safe guard your life as their own." He didn't feel it was presumptious to speak so openly of the other members since he had grown to trust them and they were a family of sorts.

After she spoke he nodded with understanding, knowing that what he spoke of was a core commitment from her which could possibly end in her losing her life. But such problems always faced the Apok, and none could ever say that fear gripped their hearts and make them doubt their resolve.

"Now we need to find a place to stay as this tavern is not going to house us. We can always leave the city and camp out there until we need to meet up with Darl. Being close to the town would afford us some protection by it's mere presence, but I leave that up to the company."

"I have a father who is still alive," Belle responds, caution in the blond haired woman's voice. "He is my family but not somebody who I want to see again. If I do, my do what the Confessor has done. What I was, it was my fault but his hands were definitely on my head. I was in his mold."

"My sister, dies while I watched. Still served the Unholy when that happened," the female Apok responds. Her voice is almost cracking from tears she is fighting to not shed. "I miss her terribly."

"I would pledge my honor to help you on your quest and would like to have a family I could actually trust," Belle continues, her voice turning solemn. "Every day since I threw myself into the cauldron is one I did not expect. One day, I expect fate to take me back. Don't expect reward, just to do the best I can to make up for my previous life."

"As far as a place to stay, I can also help you ask wormwood for shelter if needed," the blond haired woman suggests. "I consider it most likely that we will need to ask for her sanctuary quite often on this trip."

Daniel leans back in his chair ,"You know Belle , if you seekin redemption . Then my guess is , to look in yourself for that . We all are accountable for what we do . ... But as for a place to crash , we might wonna see what we could find like right outside the city walls there .. I would guess thats our best idea ."

"Just wanted to explain a bit about myself," Belle responds, steel returning to her voice. "Not asking for forgiveness."
Surprisingly there is a small smile as if she is remembering something.

Anastasia smiles at Belle, seeing as its nice to have someone else to talk to other than the guys at times, and gathers up her stuff once again, "Well, let us go look for a place near by then before it gets to be too late and then maybe we can all share a little bit about ourselves and Belle, maybe we can start with you. you seem to have an interesting bit about yourself and since we all know more about ourselves in our little group here, it would be more ..speaking for myself..to hear what you have to say and get to know a little more about you, and the we can go from there if you would like and give our stories, as time permits."
Anastasia now waits on the rest of the group.

Jordan listens intently to Belles words, his eyes not leaving her. After her words he reached over and placed a hand ontop of her own. His voice was full of emotion as if he truly understood the pain she had gone through to become an Apok.

"I will gladly stand beside you, and together maybe we can shed a little light on this dark hell spawned world." The corners of his lips curled into a slight smile but his eyes belayed the sadness of a wandering soul seeking forgiveness. While it was evident that his own history was one of pain, he did not speak of it.

He sat back and looked at the group after hearing both from his daughter and Daniel. Their words were valued and he would never think of acting without their input. "So it is decided then, we shall set up residency outside the city walls. After our meal we will look to set up our shelter and hold down until the new day. If there is anything we need to do as far as the sale of equipment, then let us do this after we have feasted. Once we set up our camp I think it safer and smarter for us to stay grouped. While we are within the cities visual protection, I highly doubt that they would lend us a hand if the forces of darkness descended upon us."

"Having never me one, I don't know how forthright other Apok are. Don't know if most wills peak of their previous life," Belle responds.

A smile on the beautiful face, as if laughing at herself. "In my previous life, I would have run if I ever met one. I was very good at self preservation." Visions in her mind of turning to run as she meets the Confessor.

After a pause for a moment, maybe to reflect. "I guess it likely depends on the Apok. We are all still people at our core."

"As far as finding a place to set up shelter, I would suggest trying to find a place that is a bit rough. Both give better concealment and make it harder for others to approach."

The female Apok stands up, wrapping her voluminous cloak around her figure as she prepares to leave.

The waitress initially declines knowing of anywhere that the group could stay, but having overheard their conversation as she brought their food, she suggests that if they are going outside the walls anyway, that they could likely find an abandoned house in the Shantytown area, if they so chose. The food that is brought is a stir fry of sorts. It is primarily grubs, but there is a sprinkling of one other meat that has a bit of tanginess to it. The whole thing is mixed with the diced up bits some tuber like vegetable. Definitely beats trail food; although what the group ate on the trail wasn't bad at all, either.

OOC:
Those from Wormwood (ie. Not Daniel) know that while not always required (such as the case in Newhome) most establishments expect some sort of payment for service. There are church sponsored food kitchens and pantries for those that can't afford better, but the food is generally bland tasting grubs and mosses. On rare occasion, you might get a soup of grubs made with the boiled down bones of the animals that the church raises for it's own meals.

Barter is the name of the game in Wormwood since their is no recognized currency. Most of our heroes started out with very little, but you have managed to acquire some new things in the course of your travels. You may wish to consider that before just getting up and leaving.

As a reminder, here's everything picked up at the scene of the battle. I'm not sure where most of it ended up except that Daniel retained the majority of it. I believe he gave some things to Anastasia, but I didn't see where that was clearly defined. If you wouldn't mind letting me know where everything is at, that would be appreciated.
