Darl attempts to estimate the effort in terms relative to Wormwood. "This particular spell works something like an oracle, only the visions delivered are of the past, and thus much more specific ... It's the repeated castings which are draining, not the individual spell. With a handful of participants, I suspect the effort should be somewhat on par with opening a doorway for each casting ... but between observing the interrogation and tracking the escape, we may need a handful of castings for me to get a sense of why Father Malaki was murdered and where the Shade went from there."

With agreement from at least a few of the individuals present, Darl will cast again ... going back to witness the beginning of the interrogation, hopefully gathering information more from what should be a better vantage point.

(OOC: Option 2, because I doubt I'd get much buyin for option 1. )

OOC: Each casting will require about 6 PPE from Darl and 9 from each other participant per casting. (This is assuming Anastasia, Daniel, Jordan and The Redeemer all participate. Sorry, Gerard can't be much help here.) Why does Darl get off easy, you ask? Because 30% of the donated PPE is lost in the transfer. Each of you, please indicate the extent of your characters participation.

Daniel leaning against the wall , " So Darl you need basicly a decent size mana battery huh ? i have a fair amount you can use it all . I can regen it quick enough . "

Daniel smiles a bit and conintues to study the stack of papers .

Anastasia once again says to Darl "I will give as much as I can as well. I think if we all do what we can, it will help you find out more information and thats what we need at the present time. And I must thank you Daniel for helping as well since we have only just met you, your offer is going to be quite beneficial indeed."

Daniel takes a deep breath and realizes that Malaki's hand is covering some papers . He walks over lifts his hand gently and pulls the papers out from underneth his hand . As Daniel leafs through the papers, he notices how faded some of the writing is. As though the pages are very old. Turning back to the top of the stack The papers appear to be the remnants of a notebook that once contained information that Father Malaki must have gathered about the orb. Some pages appear to be missing, judging by sentences left unfinished. Specific areas of many of the pages appear to be in some sort of a cipher. Obviously these areas are of particular interest.

The room is a mess. From the looks of it, either the shade ransacked the room or the damage was from the battle itself. In her cursory examination she doesn't find anything of interest. A more thorough search might or might not reveal new evidence. That may need to wait until after Darl's viewing, though.

"Need me to move or be in any specific area while you do your finger waving?" *Gerard smiles* "Sorry I'm not much help in this area all." Gerard will take a look again at the list of things taken to see if anything might stand out and once everyone else is finished he will ask those that just came into the room their thoughts on the list.

OCC-as I'm kinda left out of all the abra cadabra stuff I'll just wait till it's all done.

"Same as before ... once I've casted, you're all free to move about and do as you please. Just try not to bump me for a minute or so, and we can refocus for another attempt then if needed."

OOC: While you're waiting, you might want to consider that slip of paper some more. Maybe show it to the other two to see what they think.

I should be able to post today after I get the taxes done. I won't be doing any running around today since I injured my knee playing basketball on Friday.

Darl and the other magic wielders concentrate on the spell casting. Each of them yielding some of their energy to Darl to make the spell happen. Darl once again enters a spell casting trance and casts his viewing.

Once again, the real world fades away and...

The demon can be seen once again kneeling over the prone form of Father Malaki, the demon can be seen asking questions of Father Malaki who seems to be able to at least move his head and mouth as he can be seen answering. Each question appears to be soliciting a negative response the father as he shakes his head no. The demon uses various ways of torture, slicing with claws and knife, he evens slices himself causing extreme pain in Father Malaki at the same time...somehow. Darl attempts to read the lips of either the demon or Father Malaki but is only able to make out a word here or there. The word Orb seems to come up frequently. This goes on for the full minute of Darl's viewing and he is unable to tell any exact details of what answers Malaki gave.
