OOC: sorry for the delayed responses, been busy in RL lately

Brad is a flattered by the young woman's attention and was about to agree before being distracted by Vi's injury.
"I'm willing but it'll have to wait for the time being. I'm part of the medic teams," he tells her before heading over to see to Vi.

"Oh." Maya replies as Brad trots into the crowd, "Find me later?"

The crowd surrounding Vi is too thick. By the time the crowd disperses; most of them getting in line for the obstacle course, Brad can't spot Vi. He spots Teddy for a brief moment and continues looking around for Vi. Eventually, he sees Teddy again, escorting Vi into the back of Bottoms Up, which probably isn't good, considering they're adversaries today.

Brad meanders through the crowd, eventually entering the dimly lit Bottoms Up kitchen where Angie, Frank's mom, should be. Eventually, Brad makes his way into the bar, where Teddy is standing beside Vi, who's sitting on a barstool, keeping her foot up. Her ankle is visibly swollen. Frank's mom is preparing a strong whiskey shot, which may be a bad idea.

As Kendal and Brad exit the Bottoms Up, they easily find Lord Stein, the main festival officiary, is sports casting the three-legged race. Brad sees that Maya, the reporter, is competing and doing quite well at the halfway point. Kendal humphs, "Is Teddy into Vi now?" Upon reaching Lord Stein, Brad tries to let the man, in all of his regal dress and eccentricness, that Teddy and Vi can't fight, only to be greeted by a shoosh finger on his lips as he concentrates watching the race.

It looks as though Frank and Johnny are currently in the lead, however, there are about a dozen pairs of racers right behind, followed by Megana, who's paired with some skinny guy.

"One moment, my son," Lord Stein states calmly, "I'll be with you both shortly."

In response to Kendal's question, Brad can only shrug. "Dunno, he's acting a lot nicer in general today."

Brad waits patiently for Lord Stein. It makes sense that he can't exactly pause announcing the race to take note of Brad's info. It's not like the news can't wait a few minutes. Instead he steps away from the booth a ways and cheers on Frank and Johnny.

Brad can only shrug. "Dunno, he's acting a lot nicer, in general, today."

Frank and Johnny easily take first. Lord Stein booms, "Congratulations to our first place winners! Wow! That was fast!"

Megana and Sam cross the finish line a few seconds later.

Lord Stein shouts, "And we have our second place winners! Who will take the rest!"

There's an enormous dog pile of people caused by Dane and Miss Hoffman falling. It almost looks as though Coach Driver and Mr. Fowler got trampled in the process. Brad notices that Vi and Teddy are watching the races and the obstacle course. Teddy keeps glancing towards him and Kendal, either jealous or eagerly awaiting their attempt at the obstacle course.

Eventually, the racers begin crossing the finish line with Dane and Miss Hoffman taking third, Steve and Maya taking fourth and Megana's family taking fifth. Lord Stein congratulates them all and then begins handing out their prizes. Sam and Megana are kissing, so are Dane and Miss Hoffman! He hears Kendal whisper, "Cradle robber..." under her breath. Teddy's mood seems to sink upon seeing this.

Lord Stein begins walking away.

OOC2: A few more folks from Smith Falls have their profiles posted, as well as our newest player, Laura, who's playing Lysanthra.

OOC3: Several games have completed, including three-legged race, sack race and the human pinata has started.

Once Lord Stein is paying attention (Brad walking along beside him if he doesn't feel like stopping) "The boxing exhibition match between Vi Trent and Teddy Swenson will need to be cancelled. Vi injured her ankle on the obstacle course and is unable to compete."

Lord Stein begins walking away. Brad hurries after Lord Stein.

"Oh no! That's unfortunate. May the Lord bestow fast healing for her." He reaches into his pocket, "Thank you for letting me know, Brad. I always know I can count on you. You're father says that you'll make a fine doctor. Here," He hands Brad a twenty credit coin, "Please enjoy the day! Hopefully it'll be unforgettable!" He nods and continues to ready for upcoming games.

The sack races are already in full hoppity sprint as Kendal comments, "So, Brad. Would you be interested in riding the ferris wheel with me? Or maybe we could rent a buggy and go check out the wild fire to the south. What do you think?"

At that moment, Doctor Lewis can be seen running over to the sack races to tend to some of the minor injuries. He seems to be looking around for something but surrenders to helping the minor scrapes, twists, bruises and bumps.

"That might be nice Kendall, but first I did say I was gonna try the Obstacle course." Brad suspects she may be wanting to hang out with him in hopes of making Teddy jealous, but he's willing to play along at least a bit.

As he moves back to the course, he also keeps an eye out for that nice Maya lady who wanted to take photos of Brad running the obstacles.

"That might be nice, Kendall, but first, I did say I was gonna try the obstacle course." Brad suspects she may be wanting to hang out with him in hopes of making Teddy jealous, but he's willing to play along at least a bit.

As he moves back to the course, he also keeps an eye out for that nice Maya lady who wanted to take photos of Brad running the obstacles. He's unable to spot Maya. Teddy and Vi are eating kabobs over near main street. Frank and Johnny are trying to tackle a pig. For as unimposing as Frank looks, he's the only one that's been able to latch onto the thing. The competitors are covered in grease.

Brad heads over to the obstacle course. There's less of a line than before, but the same enthusiasm. He overhears a younger kid, standing ahead of him, claim that he's tried at least a dozen times. That's eleven credits worth in tries, way too expensive. Another individual, behind him now, is showing off his skinned palms, stating he's tried three times.

Kendal taps him on the shoulder, "I'm going to try too." She smiles, maintaining cheerful eye contact for a little too long. Eventually, he's at the steps to ascend the course. The gatekeeper states, "One credit per try." Which Kendal promptly pays.

OOC: Any antics or performances before your attempt? Also, anything different that you want to try that you believe would increase your chances of success? This obstacle course tests your characters physical abilities via D20 vs attribute (rolling equal to or less than the stat is a success).
