OOC

I personally like the game and have been having fun. However it's been extremely difficult to get a post out as regular as I'd like which as much work as I'm doing now. I work two jobs and so sometimes I forget when I should be posting. I'll kick one out soon. Would it even be worth it if it was just me and Belle? Or is that about it in the circle these days?

Jordan keeps his guard up, feeling very uneasy with the goblin in their midst. It was almost as if foretold events were starting to come true. However those future events were still unknown.

“Yes, the redeemer is correct. We have a secure spot for a full discussion. Our travels have not been uneventful and so this table with a hot meal is welcome respite” He smiled grimly at the thought.

“Might you tell me how the urchin there," he said as he unrolled a calloused finger in the direction of the goblin, "came to be in your midst?" He said it with making accusation. However it did spell out a possible bad omen.

The female Apok shakes her head, "That is a tale which might be best told in private as well. Our travels I suspect were as eventful as yours although I believe that you did get her before we did? Home long have you been in town, if I might ask? The guards at the gate seemed to recognize you?"

While the cloak covers most of her features, light grey eyes tinged with flecks of blue can be seen peering out from under it. "So far, the urchin has behaved himself. Not sure what we will do with him but I do not kill those who have not done wrong that I can tell."

The dark eyed Jordan listened carefully to the words of his fellow Apok, Belle. She was a beautiful woman, if not equally dangerous not just physically but mentally. His gnarled, calloused fingers brushed aside some of the black curls that had strayed across his face during his travels to the inn. He inhaled a powerful breath that helped to calm his frazzled mind, and released a lot of pent up tensions that were in his muscles. His hulking frame shifted with the inhalation and he smiled grimly, but at least he let a smile through his normal brooding visage.

“Do no concern yourself with thoughts that harm might come to the goblin my friend. He or she shall not come to any harm from my hands unless there is warranted reason. When we have time and can talk, I will tell you why the goblin gives me some reason for distress. But it is of no matter at the moment.”

He had not forgotten her first questions and nodded casually, relaxing in the seat. His free hand lay on his tree trunk like thigh, as he responded the lovely woman.

“Yes the goblin was in our charge for a while, actually strangely not long before you joined our company. So we are known to each other.” He starred down at the goblin making eye contact. “As before, I will not bring you to harm,” he spoke to the creature, “unless you give me a reason. You already know my prowess and know that I am not a man to be trifled with. You keep your word and follow our dictates and there will be no issue.”He turned back to Belle and decided to follow the rest of the questions with answers. “Actually we came in a couple of nights ago, only to head back out into the wild. There was a situation that arose and it got us in touch with my friend, but then we arrived back in town soon after.

“Yes the gate guard and several of his people know us, as we have helped them before. Good folks, they are our front line of defense and it’s a dangerous job.”

Behind the cloak, there is an element of surprise. "I did not know that you had met this Skeek in the past. You might want to tell me a bit more when we get somewhere a bit more private."

She takes a look to see how the goblin reacts where Jordan mentions having met the creature in the past.

OOC Hey joe, I didn't even consider it, but is this the same Goblin and would Jordan know? ARG I cannot believe my presumption. I am getting rusty here.

Daniel then looks behind Jordan to see who else came with him.

"So what all did you find sense we all last met?"

OOC: Yes, it is the same goblin, I just hadn't quite got to the point of where you could see him since he's sitting on the floor. It's all good, though. I can run with it.

As Jordan and the others enter the room and approach the table, a glimpse between chairs seems to reveal a child sitting on the floor eating. As Jordan continues forward he is surprised to see an old...friend?... has managed to rejoin the group somehow. Judging by the rope tied to him, it seems Skeek the goblin has gotten has gotten himself into trouble again and the others have taken him prisoner. He keeps his guard up, feeling uneasy with the goblin in their midst. It was almost as if foretold events were starting to come true. However those future events were still unknown.

There was a situation that arose and it got us in touch with my friend, but then we arrived back in town soon after. {OOC: Corrected the timing.}} The gate guard and several of his people know us, as we have helped them before. She looks to see how the goblin reacts to Jordan's acknowledgement of having met him before and sees that appears to try to shrink in on himself as if maybe he can disappear into the floor of he makes himself small enough.

Plates of food show up for the new arrivals and they dig in with gusto, enjoying the unusual texture of meat of the meat. Washing it down with the cool, clean water. Daniel stands up from his meal and says "I was just going to go have a little visit with Brother Tobius when you all showed up. While you all play catch up I could go see what he has to say."

OOC: P.S. Thanks everyone for answering the call to keep the game moving. I do have a plot line I'm trying to work you along, it's just slow going with PbP.

Jordan smiled wryly as he looked at the goblin. “Oh yes, we know each other.” There was shared history with the two, but nothing of great value. If Belle knew the truth of the encounter she’d probably dismiss it as a small happenstance.

His keen hearing caught up with Daniel, as he said he would go and see brother Tobius. His brow crinkled up slightly, as he shook his head. “Not a good idea yet my friend. There are some other things that need attending to, mainly our travels. I think we will need your knowledge as well as everyone’s to solve the riddle before us. I cannot elaborate now, but when we can I shall share more.”

He followed that with eating some more of the savory food, and followed it down with a slug of water. It felt good to be sitting in an inn with nothing more to worry about for the moment than if the waitress delivered a cold meal.

Gerard continues to eat his meal and listens to what is being discussed. Looking around to see how the others eating are doing he will wait till everyone looks about finished. "It is great to see you all again. It seems we should find that place to chat so we can all exchange our happenings. Please give me a few minutes to check up on Zeke, he will be thrilled when I tell him we have met up again with our old friends." Gerard smiles.
