Re: Belle
OOC: Maybe if Belle saw the full body, but she's unsure given just the small amount of detail that she got a glimpse of.

Re: Belle
Belle looks more closely at the figure, trying to figure out what he or she might be. She does not get a feeling that the hunched figure is an Apok.
The lithe blond haired women points at the figure and gently touches Jonesy, her touch in just this moment surprisingly feminine although there is still steel in her touch. "What do think?"
ooc: Are we inside or outside the games and have the guards checked the figure?

She does not get a feeling that the hunched figure is an Apok, especially given that it would have to be a very tall Apok. Not impossibility, but not likely. A closer look at the hands seems to indicate that the silverish plating is actually part of the hands themselves, or a very hand-like glove.

Jonesy turns his head slightly to glance at what Belle indicated and shrugs his shoulders. "Don't know, maybe some relative of Dan's?" Up ahead, Dan and his party already passed by the being in question and are continuing on their way.
As they observe the progress of the pair coming towards them, Jonesy and Belle pass through the gates and into the shanty-town area that has grown up outside the gates. The guards paid them no special interest as they passed since their attention is more focused on those wanting to come into the town.

Re: Belle
"I am kind of curious what he or she is," Belle states. "I think I am going to go and speak to them if that is alright with you?"
The female Apok will walk up towards the two figures, trying to figure out what they are. A momentary thought comes to her that perhaps she should put on her mask.
Even so, Belle will take a moment to look at the shanty town around her.

Re: Belle
A glance around at the surrounding landscape reveals what one would expect after leaving the fortified portion of the city. Some permanent Wormwood buildings are scattered haphazardly around interspersed with makeshift structures of cloth held together with ropes and scraps of resin, wood or metal poles. Barrels, crates and other evidence of human occupation complete the picture.
"The old man looks familiar, but I can't place him." Jonesy says in a hushed voice as they approach. The old man walking next to the cart appears to be just that, an old man. Belle and Jonesy change their path slightly more to be sure to pass close to the two. Frustratingly, the large creature (and he is large, not just tall) is hunched over to pull the cart without spilling it's contents. In his hunched over position his face cannot be seen, but now that she is closer and the number of people between him and her has thinned...she still can't make out much.
{OOC: Pausing to let you take the lead on describing "first contact".

Re: Belle
As first a priestess and then as an Apok, Wormwood provides generally what a person needs. She cannot help but wonder about the suffering of the people in the shanty town. Were there places like this before the Unholy came to the world or is this part of the blight of evil. Also, the metal is interesting in just how much stuff comes from other worlds.
Belle glances over at the old man to examine his expression. "Maybe he has visited your village before?" Of course it is also possible that many of the people around here are closely related. Does he look like he might be a drummer (ooc: archaic term for peddler.)
Might as play it straight, she thinks to herself. The Blond Apok simply walks straight towards the two figures in a military pace.

If the old man is with the giant pulling the cart, then it's likely that he's here to sell his wares. If he's just along for the company, then it's difficult to say. His clothes don't really give any indication of his occupation. They are the drab clothing that most people wear on Wormwood.
"At his age? Doubtful." Jonesy responds. "I doubt he could make the trip."
The tall, crouched figure says something to the old man and the old man looks at them and squints his eyes before responding. The two then stop and watch Belle and Jonesy approach; waiting to see what they do. The creature that had been pulling the cart stands to it's full height and Belle finally gets a good luck at it's face. The same brushed silver metal as Belle saw on the hands covers the creatures face in a demonic looking silver mask. The same light blue skin also surrounds the eyes beneath the metal plating.
"Whoa!" Jonesy stops in his tracks and stares wide eyed at the eight foot tall creature. "I...uh...I think I know what that is." He whispers. "I think it's a Temporal Raider and I would suggest we give it a wide birth. I don't know much about them except that you don't want to mess with them." Belle looks again at the creature accompanying the old man, but still doesn't recognize it as anything she's seen before. She has, however, heard of Temporal Raiders but doesn't know anything about them either. From the one standing in front of her she knows it's big and none to friendly looking.

Re: Belle
For a moment or two Belle is surprised at seeing a Temporal Raider here.
"I have see the minions of the Unholy force even more frail people out of their home and move under the whip," Belle responds to Jonesy.
"As far as the other figure, I have heard that sometimes 'Fair is foul and foul is fair.'" the blond haired woman responds. "Most would have considered me at one time unredeemable. Might be best if I at least speak to him. If you would like, you don't have to talk to him. They do after all sometimes ally themselves with the Unholy "
(ooc: Pretty sure I remember reading that they do ally themselves with the Unholy)
Since she is outside the gate and not likely to be bothered by the guards, she reaches up and puts the demonic mask on her face. She will then speak in the much tougher voice which seems to come when she puts her mask on, "Might I ask your business, sir." It is obvious from her posture that she is addressing the cloaked figure not the old man.
