"Well Anastasia if you want I'll head out a bit with you so we can take a peak and see if we can tell what's going on. Ethram if you don't mind keeping Zeke company and looking out for anyone trying to get into the cave?"

[giggles]

Anastasia is happy that someone finally agrees to go with her to investigate outside, not that she wouldn't mind going alone but also using her head that it wouldn't be wise to do so, sighs in relief, "Oh thank you for volunteering to come with me Gerard. There may not be anything out there but its better just to check things out just in case and being together one might spot something the other misses. So, Ethram if you can keep an eye on Zeke that would be a great help to us indeed and thank you ahead of time."
Anastasia grabs a few things just in case she has to clobber something..hmm as she notices a large stick as they go out the cave. It may not be much but she feels safe with something to hit with then nothing at all. She looks over at Gerard with a a look on his face, but maybe its just her and her imagination again. She starts to go out the cave looking cautiously at all her surroundings and trying to see if there happens to be anything moving or suspicious around.

OOC: Sorry, no stick. Wormwood lacks any natural vegetation (other than the moss like stuff you ate earlier) so sticks are rare. You may want to consider some of the weapons you have with you, though.

Anastasia grabs her saber and hunting knife thinking if there's more than one creature shes prepared to use the other weapon.

Daniel pushes himself harder to catch the creature who tried to steal the atv and continues to fire off shadow blasts at the creatures last know spot and up ahead more in hopes to hit it .

Daniel manages to get off a few more wild shots before Jordan get's too close to the area for safety. The last of the shots hits the creature square in the back and sends him sprawling. Before he has a chance to stand Jordan reaches him and places the tip of his sword in the center of the creatures chest. Daniel arrives moments later and sees the malformed features from fantasy stories of his childhood. It appears to be about four feet tall and has the appearance of a small troll or goblin, depending on the fairy-tale. It is skinny and completely naked except for a dirty loin cloth around it's middle; a dirty dagger tucked into the side of the fabric. The black knot of hair growing from the top of it's head is cut short and ragged.

An barrage of Gobbely is pouring from it's mouth; it can't seem to stop speaking due to it's frightened state. Daniel can't make heads or tails of what it's saying since Gobbely is a language he's not familiar with. The fear in it's yellow eyes is unmistakable, though.

OOC: Please remember to be more specific on what skills your using and what you hope to accomplish. Rather than "we're going outside to look around" it would be nice to see "we're going outside to see if any other creatures are hiding in wait (Detect Ambush, Detect Concealment)." Also, please don't assume that something exists (like a stick). Instead state that the character "looks around for a stick to use as a weapon".

IC: Anastasia and Gerard cautiously exit the relative safety of the cave and peer around into the darkness before the dawn.

Gerard looks around cautiously but doesn't see anything unusual, unless he calls the site of a flying human with the wings and tail of a bat occasionally silhouetted against the sky unusual. {OOC: That would be Daniel.} As near as he can tell, nothing is hiding in wait.

Anastasia looks for a nearby stick to use as a weapon, but finds nothing suitable. In the not too distant distance, more sounds of Daniel's battle can be heard. Anastasia can't sense the Unholy or any large parties of The Host nearby, but that doesn't mean a smaller party of demons might not be hiding in wait. Her wilderness survival skills don't seem to be of much use in this case. All of the noise that Daniel is making has upset any wildlife in the area already, so there's no way to tell if their silence is anything but a reaction to him. {OOC: I'm assuming you meant Wilderness Survival for Anastasia rather than Wilderness Scout since Wilderness Scout is a class, not a skill.}

Daniel catches up to the creature seeing that unforgetable look of fear in its eyes," Now lets have a look see at what we have here !"
Daniel starts to get an evil grin starting to creep across his face .

He yells back to everyone , " creature is down and won't be going anywhere soon ! "
Daniel speaks in demon language to see if the creature can understand him , " Who sent you to steal this ATV ? "

occ: correct and sorry been pushed at work too much to where my concentration is not at it's best and very worried about my daughter at this point with her health and going thru a divorce so please bear with me as my mental state isn't up to par at all and also new meds to help with other probs. Thank you


Anastasia still cautious even tho not seeing or hearing or sensing anything at the moment, weapons in hand, she hears Daniel.
"Well, it looks like Daniel has taken down something or at least one of the creatures we may have had an encounter with, but I'm just wondering if there isn't more and if we should stay or go see what Daniel thinks. I'm leaving this one up to you..this ones your call, but whatever you suggest I'm game and will go along with you for sure. I just want us to be safe and not have any unpleasant surprises if you know what I mean."
As she finishes what she has to say, she still looks around still looking out for these sly creatures big or small ..they are smart little buggers and how many of them are there??? And where are they all hiding? Or are they in one spot or several? In her mind shes sure Daniel has more information then she can gather up at the moment and awaits to see what he has to say as soon as possible.

"Well we can kind of do the go halfway there thing as I don't want to leave Ethram by himself even though Zeke is there." Gerard smiles. Lets take a quick few seconds and see if either of us can see a good vantage point where we can respond to either side if needed, what do you think? It looks like things might have gotten a lot less mobile over by the apc so hopefully they have that in hand. We need to all start carrying short wave radios of some sort or some kind of communication as it would be nice right now. If nothing else even a basic set of hand signals that we all will know would suffice. Please remind me to ask everyone once we get back together who does or does not have one as well as suggest the hand signal thing."

Daniel catches up to the creature seeing that unforgetable look of fear in its eyes," Now lets have a look see at what we have here!" Daniel starts to get an evil grin starting to creep across his face .

He yells back to everyone, "Creature is down and won't be going anywhere soon!"

Anastasia and Gerard hear Daniel's yell, but they are too far away to hear any of the rest of the discussion. Daniel and Jordan are about three hundred yards away {OOC: three football fields}. Taking courage in Daniel's find, Anastasia and Gerard venture forth to scout the area and move closer to the final resting place of the ATV. They can hear, see and find no evidence that anyone else is around. As they approach the half way point to the ATV, they are able to hear the creature speaking, but they still aren't close enough to tell what it's saying.

Daniel speaks in Demongogian to see if the creature can understand him, "Who sent you to steal this ATV?"

The creature responds in fast and fluently in Demongogian without missing a beat. With the rapidity of the words flowing forth, Daniel misses a few words here and there. "No one sent...I not steal...borrow. Yes, borrow I was. Bring back soon with treasure....great...I share...help..."

The creature continues rambling more of the same until Jordan presses the sword a little harder and commands the beast to shut up, also in Demongogian. The creatures stops rambling and holds it's breath to keep the sword from pricking it's skin.

"What do you think of our little Goblin friends tale?" Jordan asks Daniel in American. As the creature appears about to burst from holding its breath, Jordan eases back on the sword and the creature quickly lets out its breath and appears on the verge of spewing forth more words.
