OOC: Where were Malaki's hands in the vision where he apparently died ... were they in the same position as how we found him, spread over the papers Daniel picked up?

Thinking back, Darl remembers that in the viewing early in the timeline Malaki's hand was not on the papers and in the latest viewings it was. The hand moved or was moved to the stack of papers somewhere in between.

Darl curses under his breath as the vision fades. "The Shade stayed in the room for quite some time after killing Father Malaki, in order to cast at least a couple spells ... and then it picked something off the floor, in order to cast again. I couldn't see what it was; I'll need to go back if we want to confirm for sure."

Holding up the buddha in his hand, Darl addresses Brother Tobius. "I felt a surge of magic as soon as I picked this up ... what is this figurine, and does it make sense that contact with it would trigger the release of a spell? After that last viewing, I'm wondering if our Shade friend may have left behind a few traps or surprises for us ..."

[giggles]

As Anastasia listens to Darl's comments on what hes finding out, she contemplates on what she is going to do next instead of waiting for any replies from anyone.
Looking at Darl picking up the Buddha, Anastasia focuses and casts her oracle spell on Darl to see what is happening.

"Father Malaki was a collector of minutia. That particular piece was something that a trader told him was from a realm know as Earth." Tobius answers. "To my knowledge, it did not have any magical properties."

Anastasia drops into a meditative trance as she casts her spell...

{OOC: Since this is the future, I will send you a private message and you can decide what to do with it. I don't want Darl to know anything more than you decide to tell him since just the act of knowing the future can change it.}

Moments later, Anastasia comes out of her trance, gasping for breath with a look of fright on her face.

"What is, what did you see." Jordan quickly asks as he puts the trance-like state together with Anastasia's reaction and realizes that she just received a viewing of some sorts.

"Well then, be careful what you touch ... I'm not sure if the Shade was reading the objects, or casting upon them. He may have been looking for more information, or he may have left a spell or two behind for anyone who might be following ... In any case, I'm going to go back and take one more look."

Darl will go back with a slight overlap, again from a new vantage point, in an attempt to see just what it was that the Shade picked up, and what he does with it after the end of the previous viewing.

"What is, what did you see." Jordan quickly asks as he puts the trance-like state together with Anastasia's reaction and realizes that she just received a viewing of some sorts.

As Anastasia sees this vison, she gets feeling the shade is still around and much a threat but sees nothing with the buddha ...

The abruptness of events in the earth is so startling as well as the other struggles, she is facing and feeling her heart racing and unable to catch her breathe.

"We are walking away from town towards the demon territory. Darl taking the lead, Daniel is kinda off to the left of me. I keep getting the feeling that something is following us and it scares me .The buddha, I didn't see anything tied to it."

As she is abruptly torn from one place to another shes left in a fear that is totally unknown to her at this point.

She holds on to Jordan.

As Anastasia sits down and tries to calm herself down , she ponders over what was in this dream. It seemed to be at dusk as it started to unfold. Even tho she has calmed down a bit she starts to tremble even more now. What appears before her in the landscape of the hills looking like a giant sleeping beasts are many and huge.

The Redeemer quickly goes to track down Daniel so that Darl can do another casting. He tells him about the little statue that Darl discovered and his suspicion that it was enchanted.

As soon as Anastasia is ready, Darl casts back in time once again...

Darl's change of view reveals, as he suspected, that the item being spelled was the little statue that Darl picked up. The shade spends the remainder of Darl's viewing looking around Malaki's office. Nothing seems to have caught it's interest and it does not appear to have cast any further spells.

As Daniel sits against the wall , he sees Redeemer come around the corner and relays the message .

Daniel stands up and walks back in to Malaki's office and sees Darl once again go into a trance .

" Ok , what did I miss guys ? "

OCC- Just read back a bit where you mentioned for Gerard to go over the list again. That's what I have him doing in a post a few above that one and also sharing the list with the others who joined us a bit later. Wasn't sure if you saw that or not. That's why I have not responded with all the magic stuff going on atm.
