"Well, we need someone on the fryers. Nearly everything we cook is to a golden brownish color. If you need a hand, then I can send Frank over to help. I'll pay you one percent of our earnings if you can handle it." Felix smiles. Megana notices Frank and Johnny scarfing some food.

Megana looks at the two then back at Frank's father and nod "i can give it a go sir"

"Excellent! If you have any problems. I'll have one of the boys show you the ropes." he replies, pointing to Frank and Johnny.
As she approaches the fryer, she sees a ticket with two orders of fries and chicken strips, which are both fryer foods. She just remembers that yellowish to golden brown is best with the fries, but unsure how long to fry the chicken. Angie, Frank's mom, shouts out, "Cook them together, the chicken flavor is really good in the fries and they take about the same amount of time to cook."
With that, Megana begins the incredibly hot task of frying up food. As she stands there, mindlessly filling baskets, plates and sacks with her creations as she overhears stories from the patrons. One story seems interesting enough. About the fire that everyone noticed earlier just south of town. Apparently, someone had found an old exoskeleton suited power armor in a shed and tried to fly off with it, only to be attacked by what looked like a dragon. The thing of mythical stories. The poor soul was clawed and burned alive by what was probably another power armor, losing miserably.
Other conversations include talks of people pointing at Frank stating that he and Dusty could finally win the obstacle course.
Other patrons continue talking about past events being much more boring than the current one. A lady inquires what makes this year so special. But then, overhearing some of the people speak about their chances in poker reminds Megana that she has a poker tournament coming up soon

As Megana cooked she tries to listen out for anything concerning either said out loud or through thoughts. As she watches the fryer closely slowly learning how to fry and try to perfect the timing.

Yet, she finds the sheer number of people extremely distracting. Eventually, the Coulees have Frank and Johnny working the grill, occasionally glancing towards Megana in case she needs help.
She then feels a tap on her shoulder. She turns to see Sam's bright smile beside her. "Hey! Sorry I took so long," he almost hugs her, but realizes that he could burn himself on the hot cooking equipment.
Angie nearly scolds Sam for being there, but becomes distracted with a change in the bar's atmosphere. Megana catches it immediately as someone bursts into the bar and shouts, "Vi and Teddy are going to fight! They're in the gym!"
Frank promptly drops what he's doing and heads to the window and peers outside. Many of the patrons leave their food, games and/or drink and rush out of the bar towards the school gym. As the bar door opens and shuts, Megana can see that the same situation is occurring outside. As the bar becomes less packed, more patrons, uninterested in the potential fight of the decade, enter the bar for their chance at trying the food and drinks.
Felix begins trying to form lines so that he and Angie can quickly take care of patrons. He glances back at Frank, "On her busted ankle? I doubt she'll beat him without getting a lucky hit in," then scowls, "Back to the grill! We're about to have another rush!"
Megana hears mostly orders for beer, whiskey or both, but then the food orders begin pouring in, doubling up the current orders on the ticket wheel. After Megana finishes the chicken strips with fries to a beautiful golden brown, which look tasty. She notices more and more doubling up on the wheel clips. She isn't sure that she won't mess up an order. Sam nods from the side, "If you want to go watch the fight, I'll cover for you. I used to cook for my grandpa when he'd be too busy at the shop."

Megana side hugs sam back "your good Sam..glad you joined me...and nah not interested in the fight but if you wanna stay and help id love that"she says in a sweet tone and a smile thats normally she reserved for friends and family close to her.
