Vi looks at concerned, "There's some older guy who keeps looking at me and I think he's following me. For sure, he does give me a creepy feeling. He has some lady with him too."

"Any idea who he is?" Stryker asks. Vi remembers that it's the same old hermit that likes to visit with her parents. She thinks his name might be Dusty.

vi thinks for a minute," i think i seen the old guy talking to my parents a few times , i think i heard them call him dusty."

Deputy Stryker nods while reassuringly stating, "Alright, I'll take care of this. You go have fun. Don't worry about him." He smiles as he feigns a playful boxing stance before heading off to deal with old man Dusty.

Vi feels a little relief at what Deputy Stryker had said .
"Well what now ?? mmmm what do you have in mind ? nothing dirty .. besides it be little awkward with my brace ."

Vi laughs at her own statement thinking how bad of a scene it would be .

Marshal promptly begins to blush, "No... I... I would never! I mean... You're beautiful and all... Did I seem like I wanted to? I mean... oh I'll shut up!" He immediately looks at the ground and stops talking; obviously embarrassed.

Vi starts to laugh at Marshals unfortunate stumbling over his words and blushing.
After she gets a hold of herself , she hugs Marshal and tells him," Marshal dont worry about it , im just poking fun at ya . besides can you imagine the headlines now ?!?"

"Kinda. Would it be so bad?" He looks up at her and shrugs, producing a faint smile. "I mean, in the future, when we get to know each other more. Cus..." He looks off in the distance and points, "Look at that, the deputy is talking to the old man."

Vi looks at marshal ,"why would you say that ? dont ya live here in town ?"
Vi looks at what marshal is pointing at ," yeah i see that the deputy is talking to that creepy old man . But I do wonna know why is that guy following me . maybe the deputy can get that info ."

"I'm from Smith Falls, Vi. This is the first time that my foster parents let me come to one of these. So far, I like it." Marshal shrugs, "No one makes friends with the guy who might get sent away."
