"Yea sounds like a plan let's head that way." Frank says while still thinking about the cooking contest. "Let's grab a beverage on our way. I think I'm still slightly dehydrated, but I don't want to chug anything." Looking over to Marshal he continues, "If I'm not mistaken I think people are allowed to try the previous obstacles in between each announced event. Personally the announcer kind of adds some pressure that I didn't expect. Real time criticism of your efforts hits a bit different in front of the crowd." He says with a chuckle.

"That doesn't bother me. So ignore the announcer, got it." Marshal states as they approach the small line to stage one. Eventually, the gatekeeper takes his money as he climbs up the steps.

Larry grins, "Oh we have someone new!" he exclaims and then asks, "What's your name, son?"

Marshal ignores him as Larry shrugs and announces, "We have John Doe, who looks DETERMINED!" in a desperate attempt to get the crowd excited again. A few people cheer.

The light turns green. Marshal takes off at an almost reckless pace, bouncing through the quintuple step with no problem. He breezes through rolling thunder as though he's done it several times. He reaches the rope swing and reaches the other side on his first try. He drops down for the warped wall and starts his run and catches the ledge with one hand, still managing to pull himself up. He bounds across the spinning log in three strides. He reaches the spider jump and climb and has a shaky time getting to the end, but finally does. He leaps out and catches the zipline into the cargo net, choosing to climb over. He climbs up, with one minute, thirty seconds still on the clock. He taps the buzzer, releasing steam around the final stage one platform.

Larry is going crazy, "Holy cow! John Doe just did it! Joining two others for an attempt at stage two!" He tries waving Marshal up to the platform, "Come on up! Talk to me!" The crowd has renewed enthusiasm as they begin to cheer for him. Marshal waves him off, collects his credit and ticket for stage 2 and joins back up with Frank and Johnny.

"What the hell?" Johnny exclaims, "You made that look as easy as Teddy and Steve!"

"I dunno Teddy. But Steve Campbell?" Marshal asks, "Guy's a punk..."

"Yea he's definitely overrated and a bit much." Frank says jokingly. "Teddy on the other hand kind of fits his name. He's kind of like a teddy bear or a big softy how ever you prefer to say it. I am looking forward to his fight later. He's probably going to win, but I'm still hoping Vi gets him good. He got upset earlier when I told her that. But it's true no one enjoys watching a guy beat up a girl. The reverse of that is nine times out of ten very entertaining for the people actually watching." He says in a way showing he still doesn't understand why Teddy took offense earlier.

"Uh, Frank," Johnny pops up, "Vi can't fight. She broke her ankle. I noticed her and Teddy getting incredibly friendly."

Marshal finds that his stage two attempt will be right before the stage three attempts. "Well, I hope I can catch up!" he laughs.

"Oh yea forgot she messed up on the course. Legitimately was still thinking she was going to get farther than I did." Frank replies. "That has to be the weirdest relationship duo ever. Well if the fight was still on definitely weird like how would that work.....anytime they get in an argument the take it to the ring and the winner is the winner or what." He says before looking around making sure they're not around to hear him. "I suppose it could make 'activities' potentially more fun but only if your into that." Frank says using air quotes while joking.

"Oh yea forgot she messed up on the course. Legitimately was still thinking she was going to get farther than I did." Frank replies. "That has to be the weirdest relationship duo ever. Well if the fight was still on definitely weird like how would that work... anytime they get in an argument, they take it to the ring and the winner is the winner or what?" He says before looking around making sure they're not around to hear him. "I suppose it could make 'activities' potentially more fun but only if your into that." Frank says using air quotes while joking.

"Hehe, look," Johnny points towards one of the outhouses, "Vi's over there."

Frank looks and observes Vi knocking on one of the outhouse doors, trying to get someone's attention inside. Marshal laughs, "She was with my little sister earlier. She's cute."

"Yea, she's pretty chill most of the time too." Frank says then looks at Marshal. "You have a sister that's kool. Wonder who she's chatting with at the shitters." He says with a laugh. "Kind of a odd place to have a conversation."

At that moment, Vi walks over to Frank and Johnny and asks, "Hey guys, have you seen Teddy? He was puking in the bathroom a minute ago and asked me to go get the doc."

Johnny laughs, "umm, oh."

Marshal looks embarrassed.

"Actually no, I haven't seen teddy for a bit now." Frank says to Vi. "We just got done getting some food after Johnny got patched up." Frank goes to pat Johnny on the shoulder but stops remembering that it was his shoulder that got hurt. "Oh.... right can't do that. Anyways, " he continues, "would you like some help finding him. Also how is your injury from the obstacle course. Shouldn't Teddy be taking care of you not the other way around." Frank says trying to make a joke.

"Well funny you say that , 1 minute we talking and the next he races to the outhouse there puking his guts out and ask me to find the doc . Now he's up and missing . And here I was joking with him about he needing to let off some "steam" in the shitter. Could yall help with finding that little rat basterd?" Vi still looks around for any sight of teddy .

" by chance could he have run back to his dad's shop?"
