"I wasnt mad at you sam just sigh, ill talk to you after the race also congrats on your wins!!"*she leads midnight to the starting line.

"I wasn't mad at you, Sam just..." she sighs, "I'll talk to you after the race. Also congrats on your wins!"

"Yeah, thanks," he replies, "It was for my art."

Megana leads Midnight towards the starting line. Along the way, Emily, in all of her hyperactive enthusiasm is already cheerleading, "Go Meg! If anyone can do it, SHE CAN!" As she genuinely seems excited to see her new friend.

The starting line is a grass embankment, leading up to the first obstacle, a thirty inch tall obstacle with a bar suspended precariously between the support stands. Should a rider be unable to clear the jump, the wooden bar is knocked off of the stands. A mechanical system detects it and replaces it with the bar directly below it. During that transition, the jumps can become dangerous as they can trip a horse. Anyone knocking the bar down has three seconds added to their final time.

Further up the track are more of these barriers along with water jumps, which consist of not only jumping over the barriers, but also twelve feet of water. Many jumpers have ended up in the water, ducking to avoid being trampled, thus putting them at the back of the race. Last but not least are the barrel turns, which can fatigue an animal with sudden stops, turns and bursts of needed speed.

Megana finds herself amongst several familiar horses from the regular horse race. Some new competitors have also joined. All of their horses look in professional shape and quite intimidating to race against. Meg's been through this before, but the nerves are always a problem.

"Riders. Prepare your horses." Comes the announcement.

Megana focuses on the voice of midnight trying to engage her mood and readiness. Focus and ready "lets do this midnight"

Megana focuses on the voice of Midnight, focusing on her state of mind, "Come on, Midnight. Let's do this!"

As she can sense that Midnight is eager and she hears her voice, "I'm ready. You'd not forget my apples this time." The light turns yellow.

Megana spots Sam casually waving at her from the crowd. She also notices that Miss Hoffman and Dane are there, supporting her. And the whole world probably knows that Emily is there, in all of her glorious screeches of excitement.

The light turns green. Megana spurs Midnight forward, the wind suddenly flowing past her face, as her exposed hair whips around against her cheeks. Midnight clears the first six barriers with ease, followed by a water jump. Midnight even clears the mud at the end of the jump. She glances back, she's at least an obstacle ahead of everyone else. She catches Midnight glancing back. Her horse has a rush of adrenaline infused excitement and almost seems to scream, "Ha! I'm so good!"

OOC: That was the first half mile of the run. Only three more to go!

Megana keeps oushing but make sures she keep balancing between pushing but not over pushing her horse. "Come on midnight we can do this lets beat these other racers!"

"Come on midnight we can do this. Let's beat these other racers!"

"I'm trying!" she swears she hears Midnight exclaim.

Six more barriers leapt over and another longer water jump are no match for the duo. As Megana peeks back, the other racers are three obstacles behind. Midnight is truly the fastest, unaugmented horse to ever exist! She can hear a drone overhead, filming her progress for the crowd to watch.

"Keep going midnight focus on the race and once the festival is over you can have as many apples as you want" Megana murmurs to midnight.

"Keep going Midnight. Focus on the race and once the festival is over, you can have as many apples as you want," Megana murmurs to Midnight.

Midnight retorts, "After the race, before the festival ends," and begins to slow down in defiance, barely jumping over barriers and splashing Meg's legs as she barely clears the water jump. A few of the riders are within two obstacles of Midnight and gaining.

OOC: Uh oh!

"Fine as long we dont have any more races today..." Megana softly growls as she pushes Midnight abit further seeing the others catching up.

"Fine as long we don't have any more races today..." Megana softly growls as one of the riders approaches too close during a barrier jump. Midnight and the pale racing horse, number four, bump off of each other in mid-air. Midnight recovers, but not enough to stay ahead of #4.

It's a tight race as the two cross the finish line. The judges are called to review the final footage. Even Megana is unsure who won as she leads Midnight, tired and winded, back to the stables. Emily is already there, hopping up and down, "I think you won! You'rrrrrre the best!" She pumps her fist in the air.
