Jenna smirks, "You want to see a giant tree..." smirk morphs to a confused frown, "Why?"
"Partly because I'm a Leyline Walker, I have an intense interest in magic of all types and I can't imagine a tree growing that large with out magic. The only trees that large I have ever heard of were in fables my mother told me as a child." She trails off a bit with a small smile as she recalls her childhood before returning her attention to the present. "Beyond that, it's a clear landmark. I still have no clue where we are."

"Yes, I think that is the first order of business here ... finding safe haven, and figuring out where we are."

"The tree is our best option for that," Tyran adds.

OOC: How far away from the tree are we? I was under the impression that we were just on it's borders, as we were close enough for the fairies to mention Galatea, and I inferred close enough for Galatea to listen in if one of the fairies said she likes one of us.

OOC: You're right I did describe it as close, before. My mistake. Let's assume the tree is several miles away and that it's sphere of influence seems like its close.

Tyran (Jthorson)
Kila (Charity)
Kira (Ryloc)
Lori (norgarth)
Cassandra (Kitsune)
Jenna (NPC)
Ricky (NPC)
Raven (NPC)
Bill & Dirk (NPC)
Betty(NPC)
Amerian(NPC)

Cassandra states, "I can sail a sailboat but that would not do us much good. What we need is a line ship and I don't know what a techno wizard would need to convert it if it could be."

"As far as my dealings with them, she is right that I long ago escaped from Atlantis. I was to become a tattoo warrior. The thing is that I am just not that valuable. There are plenty of escaped slaves. If they can capture them, they will but they will not expend this kind of effort. Even the raids against Atlantis that I have been involved with were small potatoes and I was just one of the warriors protecting those who they might put this kind of effort against. By the way, if managed to bring me as a captive, they likely would make you slaves as well as a reward." Her voice is calm and matter of fact.

Kila glances around the area keeping to herself as she listens to the others talk. (Ok so what next) she thinks to herself as she turns her gaze toward Raven for a moment then to the ground.

OOC: Id like to move this beyond where it's at. I feel like the whole "hiding in brush, near a millenium tree, pondering fixing a schooner" is being drawn out. I'd like to know the intentions of each character so that I can just push this to something a bit more interesting and involved. Yes, its highly possible the group could get split up, although, if it makes the game more interesting, then Im all for it.

OOC: I deeply apologize for the delay. Real life and a brother in law with cancer was my utmost priority. Ive spent the last month pondering where to take the games as I don't want the game to just fade away. I understand if anyone has decided to quit. A 6 month hiatus after several other hiatuses is unacceptable.

ooc: I am at least still around although I took the game for dead.

ic: Cassandra states, "If we have no other means, we have two legs so let us get moving towards the tree." Unless there is disagreement, she will start towards the location of the tree as best as possible.

OOC: I've seen the game go through some long haiatus' before so I didn't think it was dead, but I am glad to see it starting up again.

IC:
Lori had already stated that her preferred destination was the tree, so she heads off with Cassandra. Moving up beside her, Lori comments, "From what klittle I know of Atlantis, there's a lot of beings there who might consider me a tasty snack, and trusting slavers seems like a bad idea anyways."

ooc: I'll give it a day or two for anyone else who might catch on that the game's active again, then move on with the "active" players. I was having problems before with not just inactive players, but players who replied at different frequencies. It was beginning to have an effect on consistency.

OOC: I think the main reason it got off track, is that we teleported to the tree, and then suddenly were 10 km away ... We completely lost the thread of what was going on at that point, and confusion ensued. To be honest, a fast-forward reset would probably be ideal, as I think we've splintered the narrative beyond salvation. ;)

IC:

Tyran reaches into his pocket and pulls out a treat for Dirk as the falcon finally catches up to the group after missing the teleport. As the bird takes to the air again, he rises, joining the group marching towards the tree.

OOC: That's what I was seeing. The group WAS near a tree, then the teleport... and the confusion set in... I think that that was where it got me as well. I WAS going to pass it off as dimensional disorientation, but seemed too cheesy. Then I noticed the varying response times, so, I want to even it out. Finally, too many plotlines converging at once. I believe it'd get overwhelming.

Millenium Tree:
Tyran (Jthorson)
Lori (norgarth)
Cassandra (Kitsune)
Bill & Dirk (NPC)

Repairing the Schooner:
Kira (Ryloc)
Jenna (NPC)
Ricky (NPC)
Raven (NPC)
Kila (Charity)
Betty(NPC)
Amerian(NPC)

"Yes, I think that is the first order of business here; finding safe haven and figuring out where we are. The tree is our best option for that," Tyran adds.

Kira nods, "If it's all the same to you, I think our best option is to fix the schooner. I'll stay behind, get it to shore and begin working on it. Ill need help though." She says, looking to Raven.

Raven nods, "Fine, Ill stay behind. We need to keep an eye on her anyways," He glances towards the Altarain. "We also will need wood. I think between Kila, the horse, Ricky and myself. We should be able to get the necessary wood to fix it." He glances to Kira, 'Are you sure you can fix it?"

"How hard could it be?" Kira winks.

Cassandra states, "If we have no other means, we have two legs so let us get moving towards the tree." and begins strolling in the direction of the tree, silhouetting the horizon.

Lori moves up beside Cassandra, "From what little I know of Atlantis, there's a lot of beings there who might consider me a tasty snack, and trusting slavers seems like a bad idea anyways."

Tyran reaches into his pocket and pulls out a treat for Dirk as the falcon finally catches up to the group after missing the teleport. As the bird takes to the air again, he rises, joining the group marching towards the tree.
***************************
The journey towards the tree takes longer than expected. The twilight sky arrives after what seems like several miles of walking. The tree still is just on the horizon. Dirk finishes aerial reconnaissance, swoops down and perches on Tyran's shoulder to rest, nearly squashing Bill. Tyran can sense his disdain for the bird of prey. Then Bill goes back to sleep. His feet ache from walking; each step sending a brief throb up his ankles, into his lower leg muscles.

Meanwhile, Lori finds the walk rather relaxing. It somewhat reminds her of stories her parents had told her of the Old Kingdom, from their homeland. The air seems cold and damp, with the fresh smell of evaporating rainfall. Faeries occasionally chatter from their mounds, however, they never come near.

Cassandra finds the walk exhileratingly peaceful. The closer they get to the tree, the more playful and high spirited she seems to feel.

What seems like a few hours, late at night, the trio crests a hill, overlooking a valley with a giant tree in the middle. The tree seems to raise into the heavens. It's magnificence seems breath-taking. Even Bill awakens, admiring it's glorious beauty, peaceful aura and mysterious history.

The branches of the tree loom overhead like a protective hand over it's children. Just up a head, a lone globe of daylight seems to dance in the middle of a makeshift campsite.

The campsite looks fresh with four logs creating a square sitting arrangement around stones piled to create a campfire. Yet, it seems no campfire has ever been created; not even wood lying in the middle. The grass seems to stop on the outer edge of the logs, with only loose dry dirt between the logs and the fire pit.

A group of blue glowing faeries seem to follow the travelers, keeping a wary vigil over them. Dirk awakens from a brief, restless nap. Tyran can sense that his hawk is uneasy about the faerie folk.

OOC: Alright. Let's try this again ;-) At the top: I specified who is with your particular group. If the others reply, then I will start a separate thread for the schooner group.
