{OOC: Thanks for the vacation heads up.}

The waitress takes the jewel and it quickly disappears into the pocket of her dress. "Come back in the morning and I'll make you breakfast, too....on me. I also heard you talking about finding a place to stay. If you look around outside the walls, you'll find that many of the houses are empty. You should be able to find one to stay in for the night." She bids them a good day and continues on about her business.

Gerard heads outside to tend to Zeke as he hears the group talking a bit about where they might stay. As he's about to take Zeke to the stable for the night he has a thought and heads back inside and walks up to the lady that had been helping them at their table. "Excuse me, does there happen to be any kind of shop or smithy in town that I might be able to pick up something for Zeke by chance. Oh sorry I mean my horse...Zeke..." Gerard smiles a bit as he has gotten used to it being just him and Zeke over time and has to remember to refer to him as his horse for others.

"You're welcome to leave your horse hear for the night, the payment for dinner will cover that as well. He'll be safe here." The waitress tells Gerard and then lets him know of a smith a few blocks over that might be able to help him. "...but what you probably want is a farrier." She also gives him direction to there.

"Curious why so many houses have abandoned?" asks Belle, her voice quite persuasive somehow feeling like how one might feel with an old friend.

Daniel hears Belle's question about the empty housinf outside the city walls . He chimes in with a smile , "So many empty houses could be the fact that they are on the outside of the walls . ... There would be really nthin to stop raiders, scavangers or anyone else to stop from just walkin on in ."

Daniel stands up and picks up his gear and turns to head out to find a place to crash .

"Thank you for the directions, I will have to stop by and see if they can help me." Gerard turns to his companions "Shall we find a place to rest for the night and then come back into town to do whatever all of us need to do in the morning?"

Daniel chimes in with a smile , "So many empty houses could be the fact that they are on the outside of the walls... There would be really nothing to stop raiders, scavengers or anyone else from just walkin on in."

The waitress responds "As your friend said, not so curious. People come and go. Those outside the walls move inside as soon as something becomes free, abandoning their prior dwelling for the safety of the walls. Chisel Town outgrew its walls a number of years ago." Responding to Daniel directly she continues "Although they are at greater risk, the church provides ample security forces and raids are uncommon, though not unheard of. It has been a long while since a serious attacking force has tried to breach our walls. The smaller towns and cities closer to demon territory take the brunt of most attacks."

OOC: It sounds like everyone is satisfied with their meal and have had their questions answered. If so, please provide a quick update on where you're going next. Sounds like everyone is heading back out the gates to find a house to stay in for the night. Also, is Zeke staying here or going with you to the house and what gear, if any, are you leaving with Zeke?

"Well boys and girls , lets get going before it gets any later ." Daniel heads out the door and towards the gates .
With his stumack full and the days fight behind him ,Daniel hopes to finally get some nice deep sleep time in .

Belle actually thought that she would get an answer similar to what she got, just wanted to see what the reasoning was. Also wanted to see if there was any major recent raids.
Doesn't sound like that is the case. "Thank you for your hospitality."

ooc: Not sure, did Jordon take off his mask before entering the town?

OOC: Unless otherwise stated, I don't assume that the Apok's wander around with the masks on. In Jordan's case in particular, his description actually says that. So, I would only expect you to specify that you're removing your mask if there hasn't been an elapse of time since the need for having it on is over. In other words, if you had it on for a battle and then we jump ahead a few hours after the battle is over, I would not expect that you would keep your mask on unless you specify that you wish to continue wearing it the entire time....like maybe you're trying to freak out any passing travelers you coming across.

Anastasia looks at the rest of the group and turns to the waitress and as well thanks her for her hospitality as well, then goes out the door and looks toward
Shanty Town area and looks for a place from a distance that they can approach and see if it may be what they can use. At this point, Anastasia is hoping that the little house will be sufficient enough for all the needs for everyone and hopefully give them cover. Is there enough security or will they still have to be on the watch as usual?? Will they still be close enough to town and really be able to trust this waitress, even tho nice and very willing to help them, things can be so shady..Looking down, Anastasia wonders why she has so many questions and so many doubts at the moment. Is there something shes not catching here?

"I think this one over here may be good enough for us to rest up in for now. It seems still close enough and looks like its safe enough. Maybe as we get closer a few of the group can check it out real quick just to make sure and then we can crash for the night. I know everyone has to be exhausted and we need to get a good night sleep for tomorrow."

Anastasia grabs up her things, turns once again and nods to the waitress and begins walking.

OOC: Umm.... 1) You may want to wait until the GM says what it is you've found, or tell him what it is you're looking for. 2) How can you be outside the city walls one second looking for a house to stay in and then back inside the tavern saying goodbye to the waitress the next?
