Raven
Bill & Dirk

Kila looks from Cassandra to the forest before she turns and faces the trees to see what trouble may be coming. She brings her hand up to the necklace she wears twisting it slowly in her fingers as she watches.

Seeing people in the bush, Cassandra wheels her wing board back around and takes a good look at the approaching figures. At the moment, the red haired woman does not draw any weapons although has her hand at her belt.

"Friend, foe, or other?" Tyran asks in response. Mentally, he sends Dirk to scan the area towards the female voices, to try and see what they were going to have to deal with next.

Raven shrugs, "I don't know, I can't get a good look."

At that moment, a female figure on a wingboard hovers into view looking down through the trees.

Cassandra sees a group of seven individuals trudging through the brush. Their armor and equipment getting wet from the recent rain. The seem slightly weary and one of them could be injured. And, they all have already noticed her, looking up at her.

Tyran can see the surrounding area, via Dirk. There is another female down there who seems to be watching the brush from near the shore. The ocean beyond. Something is out there and with Dirk's vision, Tyran can see that it's just under half a dozen Slaver barges. On top of that, Tyran swears he can hear a the wind whispering... "Forgotten..."

OOC: Yes. In previous posts, Cassandra was noticing them through her binoculars.

Calling to Kila but loud enough that the others can probably hear, "Splugorth Slavers, half dozen, we need to get out of here." There is a tone of slight, but definitely controlled panic in her voice.

Kila looks at Cassandra and nods as she says "great...can we make to the forest?" . (Slavers crap I really wish Raven was here) she cant help but think as she keeps her eyes on the forest again. Kila starts to move slowly toward the forest as she tryst to sense if anything evil is coming from that direction.

"Slaver Barges are pretty slow. The barges can only move a bit over fifty miles per hour," Cassandra states. "I can easily outrun them on my wing board but not sure how you might be able to do it? If they capture me, they will not sell me or put in their games, they will either kill me outright or torture me."

Kila nods as she moves. "Then lets not get caught. I can image what they would do with me then" She says as she glances at Cassandra then back over her shoulder.

Ooc does Kila have Betty with her still or no?

Tyran looks up at the wingboard as it flies into view, at the same time noticing the slaver barges off the shore.

"There's the flyer and one other looking this way ... but never mind them. We've got bigger trouble on the horizon. Splugorth slaver barges, maybe six of them ... not far off the shore." he states to the others.

"Anyone got any special tricks up their sleeves?" he asks. "If so, now might be a good time to let us know about it ..."

OOC: Tim ... playing by post at http://ivyandchrome.wildeyenterprises.com. Also, assuming Cassandra is the other person across the bushes, we are within 1/4 mile of a ley line.

Pasting Tim's email here for continuity.

OOC: finally getting off my ass and posting, sorry if I've caused any drag on the game.

LORI IC:
Lori gets to her feet, nothing like an adrenaline surge to clear one's head, and hearing that Splugorth were headed your way is a good reason to get an adrenaline surge. She quickly checks herself over for injuries and to see what equipment she has on her.

Lori pauses briefly as she realizes that she has no idea where she is or how she got there, or where her ATV is for that matter. She can only hope that her memory will come back on it's own, there's more immediate problems to worry about.

She'll reach out with her mystic senses, trying to locate nearby leylines/nexuses (70 mi range,60% accuracy) and any active Rifts (110mi range) and looking over those with her.

At least she knows Tyran,."Which way are the Slavers coming from?"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tyran IC:

Tyran points in the direction from which the Slavers are approaching. "Hmm ... how far to the nearest nexus?" he asks out loud, to noone inparticular.

"Great just what we need...slavers to add more fun to our party.." Kira looks around waiting to see what the ones that seem to know more about these slavers want to do. "So I take it we need to get the hell out of here like now as it sounds like they are bad news?"
