Gerard, Anastasia, Daniel

Gerard and Anastasia starting moving from pillar to pillar, trying to reduce the time when they're out of cover. Gerard manages to get one shot off with his rifle while they move. {OOC: As discussed, Gerard doesn't have a pistol so he will be using the rifle during this current foray into the open.} The shot misses and strikes the pillar the goblin is hiding behind instead.

As one goblin pokes it's head out to take another attack, Daniel fires at him. Black energy flies at the goblin and strikes him squarely in his ugly face. He is either knocked back behind the pillar or he quickly pulls back...it's too difficult to tell. Before he can line up for another attack he sees two other goblins on the hillside take aim at him. One with the infuriating bow and the other with a laser pistol.

{OOC: Gerard and Anastasia are out of attacks. Daniel has one remaining so I'll work directly with him to complete the round. Stand by for more gaming.}

Daniel does a nifty twirl in mid air to avoid the incoming arrow, but fails to account for a sudden downdraft of air and the arrow strikes him anyway {13 MD}. Because of his sudden maneuver, though, the following laser blast misses and strikes one of the pillars behind Daniel. Another arrow is immediately launched behind the first one and misses wide. The goblin that shot it makes an obscene gesture before loading another arrow. The goblin with the pistol seems to have managed to range in a little better, though and Daniel feels a searing sensation in his arm where the beam of light struck.

In the meantime, Jordan continues to fend off the three goblins that he's been playing with. He deftly dodges one an attack from one goblin while the two others temporarily pull back and concentrate as if casting a spell. The wounds on the two magically begin to close as they concentrate. The one with the sword through the gut is still very wounded, but he's healed himself enough to continue the fight. Turning his attention back to the remaining goblin, Jordan presses the attack. The goblin stumbles back trying, but failing, to raise his shield up in time. Jordan hits him a resounding two armed swing to the midsection.

The goblin that Daniel managed to hit earlier pokes his head out again and holds out his hand. Daniel sees a stone of some sort in his hand and once again wispy fog surrounds Daniel, but he successfully fights off its influences.

Daniel notices that the flying fish are no longer anywhere to be seen. Anastasia, in her flight away from them does not realize that. Daniel and Anastasia no longer feel the fear and dread that overcame them when they first saw the flying fish.

If Anastasia and Gerard continue on their current course, they can reach Jordan's position in a half round.

Two goblins strike back at Daniel in a volley of arrows and laser fire. Daniel misjudges the first arrow and takes a resounding hit in an momentarily exposed leg. The arrow leaves a deep gash along his outer thigh. {13MD} An almost simultaneous laser pistol shot just barely misses him as Daniel-Reaper regains his equilibrium. Before he can press the attack, another arrow narrowly misses, but another laser blast doesn't. It singes the opposite leg.

As if there weren't enough arrows flying around, Daniel sees yet another one of the corner of his left eye as it flies up from behind him and into the pillars near the goblins on the hill. It misses all of the goblins up there by a wide margin.

{OCC: New round. Gerard and Anastasia are virtually attacking simultaneously, Daniel is third.}

As Daniels equilibrium is regained , arrows fly by and he gets hit again by either arrows or laser shots .
Daniel fires off another shadowblast at the goblins .

Afer the blast goes off , Daniel will attack the goblins on the hill head on .

"Should we stay here and offer cover to Jordan and Daniel if we can or go ahead and move across where Jordan is?" Gerard asks Anastasia as he looks where they currently are and then looks over on the otherside to see where their best cover looks to be. Gerard also looks to see if they have any kind of shot at the enemies on the high ground from where they are as well.

Gerard and Anastasia have there choice of targets both on the hillside and around Jordan; however, targeting a ranged weapon at the ones around Jordan would run a high risk of hitting Jordan on a missed shot.

OOC: I need the PPE for the Shadowblast that Daniel is doing.

"I think we should go help on the hillside at the moment, seeing as there seems to be more danger there. I'm ready to go as soon as you are."

[Ryloc]

"Sounds good." Gerard looks to see where their best cover is and that it also offers a good view of the enemies on the hillside. "Lets try and quiet some of the rabble on the high ground shall we?"

OCC- What can they see from their vantage point in the way of enemies on the high ground right now?

[giggles]

"Yes ..let's do that" as Anastasia readies herself and prepares.

Gerard and Anastasia stop their run and look up the hill for targets. {OOC: Need to know what your actual actions are.}

Daniel throws out an arm as he flies and another black bolt of energy bursts from his outstretched palm. The blast shatters the center of a pillar behind the goblins and the upper reaches of it topples noisily to the ground. Daniel, at full speed, follows closely behind the blast straight at the goblin closest to him...the one that has been raining down crossbow bolts on the group. It will take a few seconds to reach the goblin. {OOC: What do you plan to do when you get there? I'm sure he'd be really interested in sharing tea and cookies with you. }

Just after Daniel's missed blast, everyone hears the thwack of a crossbow and the whistle of a bolt flying through the air. The bolt takes the goblin on the hillside farthest to their left, towards Chisel Town, square in the side as he failed to dodge. A fraction of a second later a laser blast from the same area sizzles into the ground at the goblins feet. There are too many pillars in the way for Gerard or Anastasia to see who fired the shots. The only thing they cant tell is that the shots came from up the trail towards Chisel Town and on their side of the road.

Just before the goblin pulls the trigger, Daniel's attention is caught by the goblin to his right taking aim at him with the pistol again. {OOC: Attempt to dodge or take the damage?}
